The SVP, Business Unit Manager leading Investment and Prioritization will play a critical role in driving strategic decisions by developing and implementing a robust investment and prioritization framework. This position will be responsible for ensuring investment opportunities are aligned with business strategic objectives and steering those initiatives through the prioritization process for execution. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of the investments and prioritization framework, ability to communicate complex information effectively to stakeholders at all levels and embrace change.

Responsibilities:

  • Investment Planning & Strategic Alignment:

    • Develop and maintain a comprehensive investment evaluation framework

    • Conduct thorough due diligence on potential investment opportunities working with key stakeholders in the business, technology, finance, and other areas as needed

    • Review investment proposals and create presentations for senior management, clearly articulating the rationale, risks, and potential returns of each opportunity

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and evaluate strategic initiatives that support growth objectives

    • Contribute to the development of a long-term roadmap that will result in more agility delivering key technical capabilities sooner

  • Prioritization & Resource Allocation:

    • Establish and manage a clear and transparent prioritization process for projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic goals

    • Monitor and track the budget of investments and projects, providing regular updates and recommendations to senior management

  • Reporting & Communication:

    • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of investment and prioritization processes

    • Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, providing insights and recommendations based on data analysis

    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, building strong relationships and fostering collaboration

  • Process Improvement:

    • Continuously evaluate and improve existing investment and prioritization processes to enhance efficiency and effectivenes.

    • Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in investment management and strategic planning

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in financial services

  • Experience working in global and complex settings with multiple stakeholders

  • Knowledge of the financial services industry and technology, including Profit & Loss (P&L), accruals, client allocations, capitalization, recovery and fixed price contracts

  • Proven ability to work in a team of diverse skill sets, cultures and cross functionally

  • Proven ability to work in high-pressure, time-sensitive environments

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data

  • Proven ability to develop and implement investment and prioritization frameworks

  • Ability to think strategically

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience

  • Master's degree preferred

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$145,840.00 - $218,760.00
