We work closely with our external global peers, partners, and regulators, and play an integral part in leading an agenda at the forefront to optimize and streamline processes and drive strategy across our industry.
Job Purpose:
The primary purpose of this role is to protect the firm from the risk of unhedged risk exposure that results from incorrect trade bookings, or from incorrect client documentation. You would leverage Citi's custom technology platforms to effectively review and verify the quality of our structured derivative transactions. You would also work with Traders, Salespeople, Legal, and our many Operational and Technology partners, to ensure that trades are booked more effectively, and to ensure that our global processes are improved.
Responsibilities:
Compare structured derivative trade bookings to client documentation, and ensure accurate
Coordinate with Trading, Sales, Legal, Technology, and Operations to improve processes, increase productivity, and reduce risk
Prepare key MIS reports that outline volume, productivity, error rates, actions outstanding, and more
Interpret business needs and translate them into operational requirements and targets
Coordinate with our Technology partners to improve our workflow platforms to enable more efficiency improvements for the team
Assist to outline potential risks at the firm, and work with our internal partners to ensure risks are appropriately remedied
Assist with the supervision and management of our vendor partners
Qualifications:
Previous experience working in an Operational or Middle Office function in the financial industry
Strong understanding of financial derivatives
Detail oriented and highly focused on quality
Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint experience
Excel VBA Experience a plus
Excellent verbal communication skills
Ability to think out of the box, and to identify and implement process optimization ideas
Ability to build strong relationships and influence clients and stakeholders
Have an organized and focused work ethic
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
