Markets Operations Belfast Overview:
Our Operations groups are core to the success of the Markets business.  We support a wide range of internal stakeholders including Front Office Sales and Trading Desks, Compliance, Legal, Finance and HR; alongside having significant interaction with external clients, playing a key role in the overall client experience.

Role Overview:

The Brokerage & Brokerage Solutions team are part of Citi’s Futures & Derivatives Clearing organisation within Citi Markets. Citi is one the world’s leading providers of Listed and Cleared OTC Derivative clearing to institutional and hedge fund clients. This role is an exciting opportunity to join a highly successful and growing business.

The Brokerage Solutions Team is a newly established team within Futures & Derivatives Clearing Operations. The mission of Brokerage Solutions is to deliver outstanding continuous improvement and process re-engineering in support of over $200m in annual settlement of Futures market execution expenses. This is an outstanding opportunity for candidates who are passionate about change management and have the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. The right candidate will have excellent skills and a proven track-record of business and data analysis, along with process design and engineering skills.

What you'll do:

• Develop and implement business initiatives, client solutions, or projects affiliated with Futures and Derivatives Clearing –  Brokerage.
• Resolve complex process problems which require an in-depth evaluation of root cause analysis.
• Solve complex inquiries, conduct discovery and complete due diligence activities for client/broker requests
• Provide detailed analysis of escalated issues when necessary and recommend actions for resolution
• Contribute to processing standards and expectations for FDC Operations - Brokerage teams
• Manage daily performance related to FDC brokerage operations processes
• Critically analyse business processes and propose solutions to improve the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the front to back brokerage flow
• Coordinate with internal and external clients to assess service quality and identify areas for improvement
• Conduct detailed analysis of accrual accounting alongside partners from finance and reconciliations
• Act as an advisor to new/junior staff

What we'll need from you:

• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in management with Banking and Financial Institutions preferred
• Proven ability to manage various concurrent activities/projects in a high-risk environment
• Effective project management skills
• Process engineering / improvement experience
• Strong understanding of fundamentals of accounting

Education:

• GCSE English & Maths
