Job Background/context:

The role is providing a high level of support to the COO/CIO Financial Governance team, primarily in the areas of Software financial management and the preparation and dissemination of robust management information to facilitate the effective management of the financial resources of the Organization, as well as aid effective decision making across all layers of management within the organization.

The role involves proactively liaising with the various business office contacts across the wider Business Management community on financial related matters (including Software Management, Headcount Reporting, Expense Tracking and Management Information Reporting) and acting as a key interface between the CIO Technology organizations and other operational partners (e.g. Finance, HR, R@C/PTS teams) to drive the timely delivery on agreed key deliverables and working to ensure the organization’s financial targets are achieved. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in financial forecasting, budgeting, and management for the Software Book of Work across CIO Technology lines of Business.
  • Producing regular and ad hoc high quality financial reports in line with agreed reporting schedules and ensuring the timely distribution of these against agreed SLAs and using appropriate dissemination channels
  • Assist in the preparation of PowerPoint materials to include refreshing templates or quality assuring work produced by others
  • Work as directed on excel data files; receipting, storing, amalgamating, and creating summaries of key themes

Knowledge/Experience:

  • A strong/intermediate experience of excel to include experience with formulas, VLOOKUPs, and pivot tables
  • Experience of using SharePoint to store/retrieve files
  • Extract, manipulate and analysis of data from in-house systems
  • Experience of producing high quality and accurate reports for senior audiences in demanding timeframes
  • Experience of learning new work/activities quickly and identifying opportunities for process improvement

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience of working with financials
  • Automation experience – Power BI / Tableau etc.
