Team/Role Overview

Cash Management’s primary responsibility is to ensure effective intraday liquidity management and end of day balance forecasting on Citibank’s Nostro, RTGS and other Central Bank Accounts across Western Europe.

Our Budapest office is a deeply integrated part of the Services, Markets, Banking and International & Client Operations (SMB&IC) supporting EMEA Markets Treasury, EMEA Corporate Treasury, TTS, FX, Securities and Markets Products.

What you’ll do

• Support/help Cash Management Analysts in managing their BAU activities
• Make decisions on the team's funding activities and suggestions for process optimization, when and where required.
• To provide accurate and timely funding projections and, if needed, initiate liquidity transfers accordingly
• Monitor Nostro Account balances and provide forecast before Market Cut-offs
• Manage Liquidity within the pre-defined allocation levels
• Review and analyze complex transactions both intraday and during reconciliation
• Effective communication with departments whose work is related to nostro cash management, including the Markets Treasury trading desk
• Timely resolution of any reconciliation issues
• Timely and effective escalation of all issues
• Reconciliation of Nostro accounts
• Participation in industry testing
• Supporting projects, new system implementation
• Take part in designing funding processes
• Take on individual initiatives. Contribute to discussions with stakeholders
• Utilize advanced communication, interpersonal and diplomacy skills to interact with colleagues, management and internal/external clients, in order to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information in a concise and logical way, while being sensitive to audience diversity.
• Individuals at this level usually have full ownership for one or more processes, reports, procedures or products, and may also be considered analytical or procedural experts, representing a unit or team on cross-functional processes or project deliverables at a broader level.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

What we’ll need from you

• 3-5 years of relevant experience
• Strong mathematical or analytical background
• Experience in project related activities. Experience in similar role is advantage
• Excellent spoken and written English and Hungarian
• An understanding of the Corporate Treasury business would be highly beneficial
• The candidate is expected to be dynamic, flexible and a quick learner as the business requires candidates to be able to learn and perform multiple functions parallel
• Strong PC skills in Excel, Word and Outlook. Training will be provided on other systems used within this position.
