Applications Development Sr Programmer Analyst - C12 - CHENNAI

The Applications Development Sr Programmer is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Responsibilities:

• The candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining java-based systems within various components of a corporate action application.
• Work directly with global application development teams, Operations teams/partners to successfully integrate application data.
• Perform unit testing with proper documentation to adhere to application standards.
• Work closely with other team members, onsite and remote to ensure consistent approach to development is used within the application.
• Engage in architecture definition of new processes and review existing processes for improvements.
• Provide on-going maintenance and L3 production support
• Perform release coordination and change management.
• Keep up to date with new technologies and their possible adoption within ISG 
• Serve as advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts
• Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
• Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
• Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of relevant experience - Java Full Stack
• Experience of working in a demanding and results driven, time critical environment 
• Proven proficiency in dealing with complex technical issues across all aspects of the project lifecycle 
• Required Skills:
  • Java 8+
  • Springboot
  • XML/XSD/XSLT and JSON
  • Modern source control, build and continuous integration solutions (Bitbucket, Jenkins, Team City, Artifactory, SonarQube, Groovy, Maven, Gradle)
  • Linux/Unix scripting
  • Oracle concepts, SQL, PL/SQL
  • SQL performance tuning
  • Autosys
  • Understanding of ECS architecture / implementation
  • Experience working with Kafka or similar technologies.

• Skills that are a plus:
  • UI Experience with Angular
  • DevOps experience.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
