Job Description

CITIDIRECT® BE is Citibank’s award winning next-generation, web based banking platform for Cash Management Services. The application provides one-click access to global transaction capabilities using an intuitive and user-centric workflow. CitiDirect BE supports multiple transaction types across multiple geographies, subsidiaries, and currencies.

The candidate will lead a team of business analysts in creating and maintaining requirements for CITIDIRECT® BE application. This will involve working with various functional area teams – Payments, Receivables Direct Debits, Trade and drive the efforts in requirements, analysis and functional design.

This role requires an individual with deep analytical experience, excellent leadership skills, outstanding business acumen and a broad range of knowledge to work with product, operations, technology teams, as well as senior leadership. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail, and a proven ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of passionate product owners on cash management portfolio.
• Analyse and understand the current Cash Management product offerings within the bank in general and in

CitiDirect in particular.

• Collaborate with business units, technologists on requirements gathering, solution design, and creation of functional specifications and supporting documents. Serve as a liaison between Product Partners and technology
• Assess customer requirements, business process and system inefficiencies, and identifying and capitalizing on improvement opportunities.
• Identify, create and facilitate process design changes by conducting business and systems process analysis and design;
• Develop and lead positive, constructive collaborations with one or more cross-functional teams
• Develops and evaluates project plans: provides direction and leadership to product owners.
• Understand and negotiate needs and expectations of multiple stakeholders and fostering a healthy relationship with key stakeholders
• Provide thought leadership to team members, peers; sensitize product owners to innovate and increase customer satisfaction; articulate ideas and viewpoints to senior management.
• Supervise the design of new products, help product teams to define KPIs and devise commercialization strategies.
• Partner with the business and technical teams and create/maintain the functional design for the various modules in the platform.
• Act as subject matter expert on the various cash management domains- Payments, Receivables, Trade, Liquidity.
• Assist in development of strategic business road maps, define KPI driven commercialization strategies for new products

Person Specification

Knowledge/Experience:

• 14+ years’ experience as Business Analyst/Product Owner (5- 7 of them leading Business Analyst/product owners) with enterprise level financial applications
• Must have experience working on large scale projects as well as handling day-to-day operational requests from the business
• Strong project management, ability to successfully manage multiple tasks at any given point, strong relationship building skills & communication skills
• Strong leadership skills- Must have lead a team of business analysts in current or previous role
• Must have worked in Agile environment and a core cash management application.

Skills Required

• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation of complex information and data).
• Good analytical skills – Ability to analyze complex business problems and craft process flows, AFDs to communicate, challenge solutions with technical architects.
• Problem Solving, ability to take key decision by talking to SMEs, Product/Technology stakeholders
• Teamwork and team management, guiding the team and clearing bottlenecks.
• Strong negotiation skills
• Demonstrated fluency in business processes and process differentiation
• Project Management skill set- creating project plans and assigning work to team, raise alerts/risks when necessary.
• A strong commitment to quality and efficiency
• Excellent multitasking ability - Must have ability to track multiple issues, effectively manage time and competing priorities, and to drive results through partner organizations.
• Hands on experience in agile environment as a product manager, product owner.
• Technical Understanding of cash management product is must. Working in BDD environment, Business Process Modelling is a plus.
