Project Analyst 1 – P2P Systems Operations (Chennai)
The Project Analyst 1 is a beginner/Intermediate professional role. Requires a good knowledge of the range of processes, procedures and systems to be used in carrying out assigned tasks and a basic understanding of the underlying concepts and principles upon which the job is based. Good understanding of how the team interacts with others in accomplishing the objectives of the area. Makes evaluative judgements based on the analysis of factual information. They are expected to resolve problems by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience and will be guided by precedents. Must be able to exchange information in a concise and logical way as well as be sensitive to audience diversity. Limited but direct impact on the business through the quality of the tasks/services provided. Impact of the job holder is restricted to own job.
Responsibilities:
- The SADU Analyst is responsible having a good understanding of apps support procedures and concepts and basic knowledge of other technical areas to maintain, identify and define enhancements to existing applications and their operating environments; thus making recommendations for improvements.
- Work closely with business stakeholders and users to gather requirements and coordinate with development team for implementation.
- Provide day-to-day functional support and troubleshooting root causes of issues for applications in SADU
- Take ownership of issues and work with business users and development team to find resolutions.
- Maintain and modify configuration
- Analyzes existing system logic and uses evaluative judgment to make recommendations and implement enhancements or fixes.
- Formulates and defines scope and objectives for changes through research and fact-finding combined with a basic understanding of business systems and industry standards, documents requirements.
- Gather data needed to create and complete project plans, which includes the work breakdown structure and project schedule.
- Collect project performance data to help track project issues and track resolutions.
- Keep track of progress on project deliverables, as well as approved changes.
- Ensure project documents such as the project charter, communication plan and risk management plans are updated as necessary.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3+ years relevant experience P2P or Data warehousing applications
- Should have good exposure to data archival and disposal activities.
- Should have worked in at least 2 data migration and disposal programs.
- Must be an effective communicator
- Participation in some process improvements.
- Analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge in banking applications and server infrastructure
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, great teammate
Education:
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
