We’re currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our team as Officer, Japanese Speaker Reference Data Analyst 2 Hybrid (Internal Job Title: Reference Data Services Analyst 2 - C10) based in Taguig, Philippines. The Reference Data Services Analyst 2 is a developing professional role. Applies specialty area knowledge in monitoring, assessing, analyzing and/or evaluating processes and data. Identifies policy gaps and formulates policies. Interprets data and makes recommendations. Researches and interprets factual information. Identifies inconsistencies in data or results, defines business issues and formulates recommendations on policies, procedures or practices. Integrates established disciplinary knowledge within own specialty area with basic understanding of related industry practices. Good understanding of how the team interacts with others in accomplishing the objectives of the area. Develops working knowledge of industry practices and standards. Limited but direct impact on the business through the quality of the tasks/services provided. Impact of the job holder is restricted to own team.
The role will be within Manila ASO team, specifically the Accounts team supporting Japan. This team will be responsible for the opening of new sub accounts and maintenance of static data of sub accounts for existing clients. Key responsibilities include:
In this role, you’re expected to:
- Work on APAC and/or EMEA shift
- Ensuring all documented processes are followed correctly
- Opening New Sub Accounts in e-Sales for both new and existing clients and maintaining Client Static Data on existing sub accounts
- Ensure agreed SLAs are met and delivery on targets and objectives in line with agreed timelines
- Daily monitoring of quality and control reports to ensure all regulatory/document requirements are met and work with the account opening & KYC teams to escalate issues of non-compliance.
- Candidate will assume a lead role on interactions with the middle office, front office, operations, and external counterparties – servicing key products for Equities, Fixed Income, Prime Brokerage and Futures together with key stakeholders from Japan
- The candidate should be comfortable in a fast paced, multi-tasked environment, be customer service oriented, and have an ability to identify and lead the implementation of process improvements.
- Liaison with other ASO teams globally to ensure customer subaccounts are opened correctly and meet local regulatory requirements prior to trading activity and perform data quality reviews.
- Ensure customers classified in line with in-country, regional, and global regulatory and all other government requirements
- Day to day oversight and contribution to creation and maintenance of customer accounts, security and pricing data within multiple systems across multiple teams.
- Identify opportunities for improvements to quality of data and client service levels
- Acts as backup for manager
- Provides direction and guidance to team, evaluating performance, making recommendations and identifying training requirements.
- Responsible for the successful management and delivery of project initiatives and for the supervision of junior staff to ensure delivery of their tasks which contribute to the projects.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
- 0-2 year experience
- 1-2 years banking experience, specifically of project management, MIS, within a global financial services organization would be advantageous;
- Experience working with a team in a fast paced, metrics and deadline oriented department
- Experience with working with a large, global organization
- Experience with process migrations and transfer of functions
- Familiarity with XMC (SAP Business Objects) and reporting functionality would be a big plus.
- Capital markets product knowledge is useful
- Experience working to deadlines.
- Technical proficiency in Microsoft Access and Excel is a plus
- Detail oriented
- Japanese language proficient (can read, write, understand and speak fluently)
