Agency & Trust Operations Manager- CIUDAD DE MEXICO
The Agency and Trust Operations manager is an intermediate management level position responsible for overseeing daily operational processes related to Agency & Trust clients, ensuring timely and accurate execution of payment client instructions . Additionally, this role will be responsible for managing the payments and funding team, coordinate with other operational areas and external clients, supervise the cash settlement, payment processing, funding requirements and investments.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of payments analyst, ensure accurate and timely client instructions execution
- Act as point of escalation for operational issues and ensure prompt resolution with minimal risk exposure.
- Monitor compliance with contractual obligations, internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Support the implementation and monitoring of maker-checker controls and audit trails.
- Identify process improvements and contribute to automation initiatives
- Assists with internal and external audits and regulatory reviews, ensuring timely delivery of required documentation.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Qualifications:
- 5-8 years of relevant experience
- Functional experience in trust or agency operations, preferably within a banking or financial services institution.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
- Experience in payments systems ( SPEI, SWIFT, FEDWIRE) and financial reconciliations
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Demonstrated analytical skills
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Intermediate/Advanced English level required
- AMIB certification is a plus
