Commercial Digital Channels and Business Process Development Officer - C12 - CIUDAD DE MEXICO
The Business Development Officer is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Good communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize all possible channels to source quality new-to-bank clients with potential to generate business across lending, treasury, capital markets, cash management products.
- Responsible for the entire process of new client acquisition from identifying prospects, delivering customized financial service solutions to completing facility availment.
- Analyze market trends and market size by integrating analytical skills and knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies.
- Facilitate client on-boarding process by resolving operations and service issues that may arise.
- Work on preparing credit assessments and monitoring risk issues by liaising with clients on any document deficiency or requests for more information.
- Prepare client presentations for senior management.
- Ensure all KYC and AML as well as other compliance norms are strictly adhered to.
- Follow up with clients on offer acceptance and confirm the facility is successfully availed.
- Maintain knowledge of industry and competitive landscape.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, commerce, engineering or related disciplines
- 5-8 years relevant commercial banking experience
- Good record of proactively building relationships with product and credit review/approval partners
Education:
- Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience

- Lead projects/process across BancaNet Empresarial (BNE) lifecycle related with issues and remediation action plans: identifying and structuring the problem, analyzing root causes, propose solutions, work in partnership with other areas to create a corrective action plans and communicating project status and results.
- Coordination and responsible of the issues and CAPs accomplishment of BancaNet Empresarial (BNE) from business side
- Participate in cross-functional teams designed to resolve business issues related to business, processes or technology projects with significant business impact.
- Responsible of the generation and follow up about new or update digital controls or process in partnership with control areas and other digital team members.
- Appropriately assess risk evaluation and formats to be delivered to control areas.
- Acts as Digital SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members to present status of issues or CAPs.
- Work together with technology, business, and partners to accomplish on time with all issues and CAPs.
- Coordination inside the Digital BNE area to review and delivered on time Control, Internal Audit or Regulatory evidences or monthly monitoring.
- Identification of efficiencies on channel processes and implement them.
- Work in partnership with Tech, Contact Center, Control, Legal, ICRM, INFOSEC, Fraud Prevention area to identify efficiencies in the Commercial Digital Channel processes
- Active participation on the regulatory reviews about the channel, such online testing or deliver evidences about the channel operation (Ex. Banxico or CNBV)
