Securities & Derivat Analyst 2
The Securities & Derivatives Analyst 2 is an intermediate level position responsible for processing orders and transactions originating from trading desks and branch offices in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team. The overall objective of this role is to facilitate the clearance, settlement and investigation of client securities and derivatives transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Have a passion to learn the subject and be a good team player
- Excellent collaboration, verbal, and written communications skills
- Work with the local product team and respond to queries and correspondences sent by them
- Manage all types of Custody account opening, trade settlements, reporting and announcements/ settlements of corporate events
- Prompt and professional engagement with custody client base which consists of 100% foreign institutional clients and ensure meeting Citi client delivery standards
- Prepare and deliver regulatory reporting
- Coordination with CDS / SEC and other market players on account openings / transfers
- Liaising with regional product development / service teams on product enhancement, Billing, Accounts and security code maintenance
- Liaising with both internal and external auditors on the audit related activities
- Ensure compliance with Internal, External and Regulatory guidelines
- Project management skills for liaison with multiple stakeholders to take systemic enhancements to closure
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 2 to 3 years of relevant experience
- Fundamental understanding of Custody and Treasury products, accounting and regulatory policies
- Proven ability to perform various concurrent activities/projects in a high-risk environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience in Business, Accounting, or Finance
- Qualification set out by the Central Bank banking direction -Association Cambiste International- ACI operational certification or Certification on Treasury and FX Operation by CBSL would be an added advantage.
