Regulatory Risk Sr Officer
Citibank N.A. seeks a Regulatory Risk Senior Officer for its Getzville, NY location.
Duties: Review and challenge ongoing and quarterly business and capital planning forecasts including Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review and Dodd-Frank Act stress tests conducted by the Federal Reserve Board. Perform review and challenge of Citi internal quarterly stress tests focusing on overall Risk Weighted Assets through ongoing interaction with the first line of defense via walkthroughs and dedicated governance meetings. Maintain an end-to-end understanding across capital planning components and develop in-depth analysis to assess reasonability of results, and ensure transparency of governance, methodologies, and processes. Develop a strong understanding of forecasting methodologies across businesses, products, and risks to drive analytical insights, highlight trends, and anticipate outcomes. Conduct deep-dive analyses related to specific forecasting components and conduct ad-hoc analysis including competitor/peer analysis to enhance understanding of drivers and inform decision-making. Present analytical insights to senior stakeholders across Citi’s first and second lines of defense. Guide the development of reports and tools to enhance analytical capabilities. Assist with US regulatory exams including those led by the Federal Reserve and the Office of the Comptroller of Currency. Prepare responses to regulatory feedback and internal audit exams/reviews. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Accounting, Business Administration, Business Management, or a related field, and seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or in a related finance occupation involving regulatory risk management within the financial industry. Seven (7) years of experience must include: Hands-on experience with regulatory examinations and issue remediation and thorough understanding of regulatory requirements; Working with large datasets and extrapolating insights, interpreting complex financial models, and using data visualization and analytics skills to evaluate the impact of different economic scenarios; Reviewing regulatory reports and reporting on metrics and financial performance; Analyzing financial statements including balance sheets and income statements; Identifying and analyzing market and industry trends, “best practices”, and the competitive landscape using industry-wide tools including S&P Capital IQ and Bloomberg, company filings, and other public sources; and Developing controls and automation across the reporting process to ensure accuracy and timeliness of information presented to senior management and supporting a strong control environment. 40 hrs./wk.
