The Risk Chief Administrative Office provides support to the Risk organization with a focus on governance, control effectiveness, regulatory engagement, risk communications, and financial performance including resource management.

The Resource and Business Office Management team within CAO office has strategic and operational responsibilities to support Citi Chief Risk Officer and the Independent Risk organization to achieve its priorities and liaise with HR, Finance, O&T, ESPA and all Risk CROs by managing resources, accountability, business and strategic planning and analysis, resilience, and overall business office management.

The role: The Business Office is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to be responsible for Independent Risk's Continuity of Business Plans and Mandatory Absence process, as well as contributing to cross-risk special projects. Excellent communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence, and negotiate internally, often at a senior level. The analyst will be a trusted partner to our stakeholders in Risk. The role will include:

  • Act as the Business Recovery Coordinator (BRC) to lead, own, and coordinate the Continuity of Business process for all of Independent Risk. This includes an annual process to update or create COB plans, as well as ad hoc requests for updates throughout the year. The BRC will lead the Risk Segment points of contact to successfully execute COB plans and will provide training as needed.
  • Act as the Mandatory Absence Coordinator (MAC) to lead and coordinate the Mandatory Absence process for all of Independent Risk. This will include leading and coordinating the annual Mandatory Absence tagging process, execute a weekly reconciliation for new hires and transfers, partner with managers of sensitive employees to ensure policy compliance, provide training and guidance for the Mandatory Absence tool.
  • Act as the Business Execution Lead support for Risk
  • Contribute to the remediation of COB and MA related issues and CAPs
  • Contribute to the MCA Monitoring for COB and MA controls. Support the ongoing maintenance of Risk's Manager's Control Assessment structure for the Resource and Business Management Office Assessment Unit
  • Support and coordinate critical Business Office projects and ad hoc projects as necessary
  • Actively participate in Resource and Business Management meetings
  • Utilize Citi Control systems, including, but not limited to: Fusion, InControl, Manager’s Control Assessment (MCA), Integrated Corrective Action Plan System (iCAPS)

Knowledge/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree, Masters Optional
  • 7+ years or relevant experience in financial services industry
  • Expertise in the COB and MA policy to provide guidance to stakeholders and ensure compliance
  • Exceptionally strong interpersonal and people management skills and ability to interact with all levels of management, particularly at the Director and Managing Director level
  • Prior experience in reporting utilizing Excel and PowerPoint, strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with Citi’s Control systems, in particular, COBTRAC, InControl, MCA, iCAPS
