VP Solutions Delivery Senior Business Analyst

Citi’s Business Continuity Management organization within Global Operations & Technology Risk & Control (OTRC) is seeking an experienced professional to serve as a Senior Business Analyst.

The Solutions Delivery Senior Business Analyst is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required.

The candidate will join a core team that is part of the organization leading Citi's global business continuity tools development program. This includes the development and implementation of an enhanced end-to-end methodology that aims to integrate business impact analysis, business recovery process, application and data recovery, technology infrastructure recovery and supplier/vendor recovery as part of a holistic approach to continuity risk management and business resiliency.

Responsibilities:

• Understand how the Enterprise Resiliency, Continuity of Business and Crisis Management systems integrate with overall organizational business functions and processes from a recoverability, planning and testing perspective
• Perform business and process analysis to help define and support the tooling solutions for existing and new functional capabilities for business impact analysis, business recovery planning and testing, application and work area recovery planning and testing, 3rd Party planning and testing, operational/risk metrics and reporting
• Provide evaluative judgment based on analysis of information in complicated, unique and dynamic situations; draws on diverse range of internal and external sources to define tooling workflow and process improvement, simplification and automation opportunities
• Knowledge of Waterfall and Agile system development life cycle concepts with an ability to quickly learn a complex, distributed computing environment
• Understanding of technology and development life cycle processes (SDLC, technology operations, business continuity, etc.)
• Provide end user support to Citi's proprietary business continuity planning tools; diagnose user reported technical issues and facilitate resolution with application support teams and assist on Help Desk related queries
• Solid understanding of database and data management concepts such as database schemas, data relations and strategies of connecting and combining data elements from diverse data sources.
• Ability to filter data, handling missing values, and preparing the dataset for analysis to ensure accuracy and relevance.
• Use of statistical tools, scripting and techniques to explore and analyze data, identifying patterns, relationships, and trends using tools such as python, VBA, SQL, among others.
• Ability to create data visualization representations of data findings through charts, graphs, and dashboards to make the data understandable using tools such as Tableau, Qlink, PowerBi, etc.
• Prepare reports and presentations to communicate the insights and findings from the data to stakeholders, which can influence policy and decision-making processes.
• Collaboration and requirements gathering, often works with other departments to understand their data needs and help them make informed decisions based on data insights.

Qualifications:

• 6-10 years’ experience in Business Analysis roles in risk or crisis management
• Experience of technology project management, data modeling and workflow mapping
• 3+ years’ experience working with internal/external audit/regulatory groups is preferred
• Must have US work authorization, this position is not sponsoring visas
• Advanced project management, data analysis and reporting ability; with a good understanding of supporting technologies (applications, reporting tools, and data presentation)
• Certified in any following areas will be added advantage CBCP, PMP, ITIL, COGNOS Report BI Author
