Applications Development Sr Programmer Analyst

Citibank, N.A. seeks an Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst for its Irving, Texas location.

Duties: Develop applications using Java. Responsible for the SDLC including analysis, design, development, and testing. Develop code to meet business requirements. Build robust, efficient, and scalable applications. Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and build out API integrations to support continuing increase in data volume and complexity. Use Oracle SQL Developer, Unix shell scripting, Angular, Python, Scala, Impala, Hadoop and Apache Kafka. Assess data related issues or bugs and assist in the resolution of issues. Collaborate with business analysts and users to improve data models that feed business intelligence tools and foster data driven decision making across the organization. Use Spark to build data pipelines which are scalable, fault tolerant, and can handle high volume of data.  Use HDFS to create Hive tables to help business users access data faster. Use Autosys scheduling. Provide escalation support to triage and resolve production issues. Work with a global team for requirements gathering and feedback from different stakeholders to build solutions within defined project timelines. Implement processes to generate reports, and systems to monitor data quality, ensuring production data is accurate and available for business users and business processes that depend upon it. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering (any) or related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience as a Software Engineer, Systems Engineer, Developer, Project Manager, Technology Lead/Analyst or related position involving Java development for the financial domain. 5 years of experience must include: AutoSys; Java; Oracle SQL Developer; Spark, Hive; Unix shell scripting; Python; Impala, Hadoop; and Kafka.
