The Applications Development Group Manager is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department in an effort to establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology Team. The overall objective of this role is to drive applications systems analysis and programming activities linked to Consent order & Transformation Program (DDA Transformation)

Key Responsibilities and Alignment with Strategy:

  • Manage Application Development : Oversee the daily operations of the development team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management.

  • Drive the development, testing, and implementation of new and revised application systems and programs: Take ownership of the entire software development lifecycle, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.

  • Collaborate with the Technology Team to establish and implement application systems and programs: Work effectively with other technology teams to integrate solutions seamlessly into the existing infrastructure.

  • Lead the delivery of Consent Order deliverables and DDA Transformation programs: Ensure successful completion of projects related to regulatory compliance and market initiatives.

  • Implement strategic solutions to enhance application systems and programs: Drive the adoption of innovative solutions & engineering tools that align with Citi's overall technology strategy.

  • Manage the team to achieve results and meet objectives: Effectively manage resources and prioritize tasks to deliver on key performance indicators.

  • Ensure adherence to architecture governance principles and risk management frameworks: Maintain compliance with established processes and guidelines to mitigate risks.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and skill development within the team: Promote learning and development opportunities to enhance the team's capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in handling complex program delivery (Global Program Delivery Experience a plus).

  • Understanding of core banking, Operating Ledger and DDA.

  • Experience of using Agile practices while working in large scale banking transformation programs with geographically distributed teams.

  • In depth understanding of corporate banking products and the product life cycle especially within core-banking, treasury, liquidity, payments, and receivables.

  • Should have excellent inter-personal skills to build strong working relationships with multiple stakeholders.

  • Promotes continuous process improvement especially in code quality, testability & reliability.

  • Strong background in Data Management, Data Governance, Data Quality Issues Remediation, Transformation initiatives preferred

  • Experience in Oracle database, PL/SQL, Unix/Linux platforms

  • Preferred Experience/Familiarity with one or more of these tools
    Big data platforms - Hadoop, Apache Kafka,
    Relational SQL, NoSQL.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

  • Master’s degree preferred

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$156,160.00 - $234,240.00
