Data Science Lead Analyst Generative AI (VP)
Serves as a data scientist to help evaluate Generative AI applications for compliance with fair lending regulations in the Office of Fair Lending and Privacy, Independent Compliance Risk Management (ICRM). Responsible for assisting with internal strategies, policies, procedures, processes, and programs to prevent violations of law, rule, or regulation and design and deliver a risk management framework that maintains risk levels within the firm's risk appetite and protect the franchise. Engages with the business and ICRM Product and Function coverage teams, in order to partner to develop and apply CRM program solutions that meet the function/business/product and customer needs in a manner consistent with the Citi program framework. Primary responsibilities evaluating generative AI applications and help with evaluation of international models including AI/ML models for algorithmic bias. The candidate will be part of the Fair Lending Model Review team assisting in statistical analysis related to model review focusing on Generative AI applications and international models including AI/ML models, used for various financial products. The candidate will be a key member of the Fair Lending Model Review, Office of Fair Lending and Privacy, ICRM team, which has analytical responsibility for the enterprise-wide fair lending ICRM program that spans across Citi’s operations.
Responsibilities:
Assisting in the design, development, delivery and maintenance of best-in-class Compliance, programs, policies, and practices related to fairness and fair lending review for generative AI applications.
Develop methodologies to evaluate test and evaluate generative AI applications for compliance with fair lending regulations.
Assisting in the development and administration of Compliance training related to evaluation of generative AI applications for the supported function/business/product.
Researching any new reform rules and rule changes and implementing policies, procedures, or other controls necessary to comply with the rules related to generative AI algorithms.
Periodically re-validate processes to ensure validity, efficiency, and accuracy; and to identify enhancement opportunities.
Develop and deepen Subject Matter Expertise in Fair Lending and Fairness regulations/laws as it relates to generative AI through internal, external, and on-the-job training.
Assisting with regulatory inquiries and/or examinations. This may include coordination with regulators and other parties.
Prepare and present statistical results and data sets for analysis in support of regulatory requests and examinations. Work with examiners and business units to resolve any questions related to analytical methodology or data integrity
Collaborating with other internal areas including Legal, Business Management, Operations, Technology, Finance, other Control Functions, and In-Business Risk to address compliance issues related to generative AI models and applications which may impact the supported function/business/product.

Qualifications:
Model development experience – preferably with AI/ML methods in finance or banking
Experience working in the explainable AI/ML field
Knowledge of Compliance laws, rules, regulations, risks and typologies
Must be a self-starter, flexible, innovative and adaptive
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and with people at all levels of the organization
Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent project management and organizational skills and capability to handle multiple projects at one time
Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Python, SAS, Pyspark
Demonstrated knowledge in area of focus
Relevant certifications desirable
Education:
Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree

$125,760.00 - $188,640.00
