The Inventory Orchestration Apps Development Director is a key leadership position within Inventory Orchestration Technology,responsible for defining and executing the strategic vision for enterprise-wide inventory orchestration, automation, and system resilience.
This role will lead efforts to enhance deployment efficiency, failover automation, performance optimization, and secure access management, ensuring platforms are modern, scalable, and aligned with business goals.

Key Focus Areas:

  • Standardized Deployment Frameworks – Defining reusable, structured templates that accelerate and simplify provisioning while ensuring compliance and consistency.

  • Automated Recovery & Failover – Implementing intelligent automation for system start/stop/restart processes, minimizing downtime and enabling seamless continuity of business operations.

  • Secure & Efficient Access Management – Enhancing authentication, authorization, and credential management to improve security posture and operational efficiency.

  • Performance Optimization – Driving improvements in execution efficiency and reducing system startup and recovery times to support high-availability, self-healing environments.

  • Identity & Access Governance – Streamlining universal identity management for seamless platform integration while maintaining strong security controls.

Key Responsibilities

Technology Leadership & Strategy

  • Define and drive Inventory Orchestration Technology’s engineering strategy, architecture, and application design.

  • Lead enterprise-wide adoption of innovative tools, processes, and platforms to optimize inventory orchestration, reduce inefficiencies, and enhance operational resilience.

  • Ensure technology solutions align with business objectives, compliance requirements, and risk management principles.

  • Oversee the design and development of system architecture, working closely with end users to improve solution effectiveness.

  • Manage and maintain disaster recovery plans, oversee testing, and ensure operational continuity of inventory orchestration platforms.

People & Talent Development

  • Manage and develop multiple teams of professionals to accomplish strategic objectives, including performance evaluations, hiring, and disciplinary actions.

  • Foster an innovative, high-performance culture that encourages collaboration, accountability, and technical excellence.

  • Develop a clear vision for team roles and responsibilities, ensuring efficient use of resources and alignment with business needs.

  • Lead and deliver staff engagement forums, providing global and regional updates to align teams with the organization’s progress.

  • Mentor and develop team members in technical, leadership, and professional skills.

Delivery & Execution

  • Oversee end-to-end project execution, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables across all initiatives.

  • Drive completion of risk mitigation plans, critical paths, dependencies, and business continuity strategies.

  • Monitor and manage budgets, strategic planning, policy formation, and long-term strategy for inventory orchestration.

  • Ensure all projects and changes are managed with appropriate controls, documentation, and approvals, including adherence to regulatory requirements.

  • Prepare and present regular project and team performance reviews to senior management and business leaders.

  • Research and resolve issues, provide recommendations, and escalate to senior management as needed.

Governance, Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure staff follows documented policies and procedures, maintaining comprehensive supporting documentation.

  • Establish and maintain business controls, ensuring compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

  • Assess risk when making business decisions, ensuring transparency, sound ethical judgment, and adherence to firmwide policies.

  • Effectively supervise the activity of others, creating accountability for compliance failures and ensuring adherence to security and operational standards.

  • Contribute to defining and implementing best practices and standardized processes across teams to improve efficiency and consistency.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 15+ years of relevant experience in an Engineering role with extensive experience in business, functional and people management.

  • Proven leadership experience in a technical or engineering director role within inventory orchestration, supply chain management, or large-scale enterprise technology.

  • Strong background in application development, enterprise architecture, and platform modernization.

  • Ability to influence and drive change across complex, cross-functional teams.

  • Expertise in inventory orchestration, automation, high-availability system design, and operational efficiency.

  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to address business and technical challenges.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership abilities to engage with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Mastery of dependency management, resource planning, and risk mitigation.

  • Experience leading teams through technology transformations and enterprise-wide migrations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with infrastructure automation, configuration management, and policy-driven orchestration.

  • Knowledge of authentication, identity management, and secure access frameworks.

  • Familiarity with high-availability architectures, failover automation, and self-healing system design.

  • Understanding of secrets management, credential handling, and compliance frameworks.

  • Strong grasp of containerized application execution and performance optimization.

  • Ability to manage relationships in a global, fast-paced environment while driving large-scale transformation initiatives.

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$170,000.00 - $300,000.00
