The IT Project Tech Lead is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business. Requires basic commercial awareness. There are typically multiple people within the business that provide the same level of subject matter expertise. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Significant impact on the area through complex deliverables. Provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business. Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.
Role Overview
Join a creative, inclusive, and data-focused team looking to transform how Citi manages Corporate Loans data and operational processes and enhance how regulatory reports are produced. The Cross Functional Data & Analysis team within Citi’s Data group is searching for an experienced Technical Project Manager responsible for managing the technical components of moderately complex IT projects.
Using strong project management principles, the PM would be responsible for ensuring technical deliveries are done in accordance with Citi’s SDLC procedures, which include many regulatory and compliance mandates. Additionally, the PM would be responsible for creating materials for and sharing updates to senior management on the progress and status of the projects.
The Data Transformation Group
The group’s goal is to ensure we can generate accurate and complete information in a timely manner, and use that data to inform our business-as-usual operations and our risk analyses, whether for real-world needs or as part of our scenario planning and regulatory reporting. While that sounds straightforward, it’s a meaningful undertaking to move away from siloed and complex processes, legacy systems, and activity-based metrics that have held us back in the past
Job Functions
The team is looking for a growth-oriented and organized Technical Project Manager who will:
- Project manage the deliveries and other technical components to the applicable IT project/tool – daily project management and oversight of the project lifecycle including driving the project’s change management process,
- Communicate effectively - produce executive management reporting, create/manage/report on key milestones, risks, and issues, and record meeting summaries with follow up actions for distribution with relevant stakeholders,
- Produce & manage project artifacts – prepare and deliver all supporting artifacts, including the full maintenance of the project in Citi’s Project Management Tool,
- Enforce project standardization & consistency – have extensive experience using Jira and running Agile projects & ensure other team members are using consistent approaches and templates, and
- Collaborate effectively with other Project Managers – coordinate with interdependent systems and run quarterly end-to-end testing supporting the regulatory reporting teams.

- grow subject matter expertise in data across Citigroup, lending concepts, Citi systems and data architecture, and regulatory reporting, and
- be part of a collaborative, diverse, and results-driven team that supports one another on a daily basis.
Qualifications
The project manager is expected to have:
- 8+ years of Project Manager experience as a Project Manager. Strong and proven practical experience in project management, which was gained through successfully managing large and complex projects.
- Strong familiarity with Agile methodology and usage of JIRA
- Scrum Master and PMP certification strongly desired
- Experience working in a technology division of a large banking institution desired
- Strong organization skills and advanced presentation skills
- Ability to navigate in global, large, and complex organization
- Strong ability to influence without authority
- Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision
- A bachelor's degree in business management, administration (or any relevant degree), with proven experience in Project Management tools and techniques
Education:
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree

$125,760.00 - $188,640.00
