Product Strategy & Plan Specialist (C12/AVP)
Institutional Credit Management (“ICM”) was established within Citigroup with the objective to provide integrated “end-to-end” credit underwriting, identification, measurement, management and monitoring for wholesale credit businesses across the enterprise.
Credit Product Strategy & Operations (CPSO) is ICM function with the mandate to improve the effectiveness of the operating model and policies across wholesale lending and to ensure the closure of regulatory remediations and internal credit-related issues.
The Product Strategy & Plan Specialist is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within Wholesale Credit. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits. Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.
Responsibilities:
Support in the design and implementation of initiatives leading the end- to- end planning and execution
Process and Policy improvements to drive efficiencies and excellence in client execution
Directing technology requirements to compel stronger and more reliable client outcomes and data improvements
Owning or contributing to Regulatory Remediations and Internal Issues closures with a focus on sustainable and efficient solutions that best serve clients while sustaining safety and soundness
Build and maintain strong partnerships across functional, business, and product teams
Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information
Leverages analytical skills and in-depth disciplinary knowledge in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources
Contributes to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function
Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area, coordinate and contributes to the objectives of the function and overall business
Has significant impact in terms of project size, or geography by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization
Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual
Assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams and involved in coaching and training of new hires
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
5-8 years of experience
Knowledge of financial services industry
Experience following latest trends in own field and adapts them for application within own job and the business
Knowledge of partner management, business development, and planning
Ability to make judgments and offer solutions based on analytical thought comparing and selecting alternatives
Analytical ability with interpretive thinking will be required
Applies d creativity to problem analysis and resolution for complicated and/or unique situations
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate and influence at all levels
Demonstrated ability to develop materials including presentations for senior leadership
Extremely high level of attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to interact and work with leaders across the organization
Excellent project management and organization skills, with the ability to work under pressure and prioritize within tight deadlines
Ability to work as part of a team, with a high degree of collaboration with cross functional teams
Ability to influence and challenge conventional thinking
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting or equivalent experience.
