About the Team:
The Chief Information Security Office (CISO) is home to deeply talented colleagues that work to ensure the safety of Citi's clients', our revenue, our employees and our proprietary data. We manage information security as one end-to end program – one with a clear mandate and accountability. Our mission is a program that is fully anchored to modern control and architectural frameworks, is fully aligned with the enterprise architecture of the firm and is deeply integrated into the sectors and functions.
As a Secrets Engineering Scrum Master, you will joining Citi’s Information Security Office, where our Secrets Engineering team plays a pivotal role in safeguarding critical assets globally. You will be responsible for fostering an agile culture and ensuring the seamless execution of our security initiatives. This dynamic team is at the forefront of engineering and delivering cutting-edge solutions in the Privileged Access Management (PAM) and Secrets Management domains. As an emerging and crucial area in cybersecurity, our work directly addresses the challenges of controlling access and managing the lifecycle of highly privileged accounts and sensitive secrets across the enterprise. The Scrum Master in this role is instrumental in guiding our team through Agile transformation, ensuring a strategic balance between robust security requirements and operational efficiency for the firm.
Responsibilities:
Efficiently and adeptly facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
Champion Agile principles and practices, serving as a coach and mentor to the team and promoting continuous improvement.
Manage the Scrum board, track sprint progress, and generate comprehensive sprint reports.
Proactively identify, address, and resolve impediments and project blockers to ensure smooth workflow and delivery.
Collaborate with the Product Owner to ensure the team remains focused on the highest prioritized deliverables, aligning with strategic objectives.
Facilitate effective communication channels within the team, across cross-functional groups, and with external stakeholders.
Navigate the complex landscape of initiative stakeholders, ensuring transparent and consistent communication regarding project timelines and deliverables.
Work diligently with Engineering and Operational counterparts to streamline collaboration and improve handover processes.
Support the Product Owner and management with accurate reporting, project status updates, and proactive identification of risks and dependencies.
Qualifications:
6+ years of relevant experience in a Scrum Master or Agile Project Management role, preferably within a Cybersecurity or Technology environment.
Demonstrated experience with Agile transformation initiatives and coaching teams through maturity stages.
Proficiency with Atlassian suite products, including JIRA for sprint management and Confluence for documentation.
Proven ability to work effectively in a hybrid (office/remote) environment with globally distributed teams.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely.
Highly motivated self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding of Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions (e.g., CyberArk, BeyondTrust, Delinea) is a plus.
Familiarity with Secrets Management platforms (e.g., HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, Azure Key Vault) is a plus.
Knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM) concepts is a plus.
Exposure to Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC) and DevSecOps principles is a plus.
Familiarity with major Cloud Platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
Familiarity with Containerization Technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical work experience.
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification is highly desired.
