The Senior Local Payments Specialist is an intermediate level role responsible for managing daily activities related to payments processing and performing investigations, contacting support teams and coordinating BAU processes within the team. The overall objective is to support all controls and top-level of service.research and implement sustainable technology solutions, increase efficiency and reduce costs.

Responsibilities:

  • Processing of settlement documents in local currency received in paper or electronic form, performing Checker role;
  • Executing of necessary technological procedures to perform accounting entries;
  • Sending of payments to the Payment System SEP in accordance with the internal rules and rules of the payment system;
  • Conducting all investigations concerning local currency payments;
  • Analysis of information completeness about participants of incoming funds transfers in local currency in line with local legislation;
  • Processing of customer related commissions and charges;
  • Processing and performing respective controls related to foreign currency incoming and outgoing payments as back-up;
  • Registration and signing payment demands rejection, prepare letters on arrests;
  • Filing of documents related to Operations activity;
  • To prepare different reports concerning Operations activities, volumes, overdue commissions;
  • To ensure execution of the internal control procedures and policies related to the unit activity; to be fully compliant with applicable Citi requirements, Policies and Procedure as well as Local regulations;
  • To review and timely update of procedures related to Unit;
  • To participate, when required, in testing of Operations technical systems upgrades and enhancements;
  • To take part in development of new Bank’s products and their implementation within the Operations;
  • Work shifts;
  • Other tasks required by the Employer.


Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a related role
  • Proven system operating lifecycle skills
  • Proficient understanding of payments processing
  • Effective verbal and written skills
  • Discipline, high degree of self-organization
  • Effective analytic and presentation skills
  • Fluent Ukrainian; English - upper-intermediate or intermediate


Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
