The Risk Intermediate Analyst belongs to International Risk Management Execution office. The position works closely with LATAM RMCOs (Risk Manager Country Officers), Country Heads of Integrated Risk Management and other regional and country risk representatives to provide centralized support in various country risk monitoring and reporting activities, to manage integrated view of the different risks (Credit, Market, Operational, Interest Rate, Liquidity, Strategic, Regulatory, Reputational). Deals with most problems independently and has some latitude to solve complex problems. Integrates in-depth specialty area knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices. Good understanding of how the team and area integrate with others in accomplishing the objectives of the subfunction/ job family. Applies analytical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies. Typically deals with variable issues with potentially broader business impact. Applies professional judgment when interpreting data and results. Breaks down information in a systematic and communicable manner. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information. Moderate but direct impact through close contact with the businesses' core activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides risk strategic analytics, information management across Citibank products and reports to senior management.
  • Support Country Risk Managers in processes, reports, and governance activities to ensure the identification and active management of emerging and existing risks in each entity.
  • Maintain metrics of the different entity risks.
  • Support the Country Risk Managers in the coordination and preparation of presentations on Comprehensive Risk Management and credit portfolio metrics for the Risk Management Committees or Board of Directors.
  • Monitoring of the Action Plans necessary to correct deviations in the limits of the different entity risks (Credit, Operational, Market, Rate, Strategic, Reputational, among others).
  • Support Country Risk Managers in the management of regulatory changes and implementation of corporate policy updates.
  • Carry out controls and provide evidence for monitoring in the Risk & Controls system.
  • Support Country Risk Managers in internal, regulatory, or third-party audits on comprehensive risk management.
  • Assist in projects as necessary, such as the implementation of new tools that improve efficiency in the Region.
  • Assists project manager and work with business users to gather business requirements and draft and co-ordinate approval for Business Requirement Documents (BRD).
  • Performs business analysis to respond to regulatory and business questions and provide portfolio insights.


Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years’ experience in risk management framework.
  • Excellent verifiable speaking and writing skills in English (exclusive).
  • Previous experience in reviewing and implementing regulatory changes, international standards or corporate requirements will be valued (but not exclusive).
  • Interpersonal skills, conflict management and communication.
  • Orientation to results and detail in a dynamic environment, managing multiple responsibilities and delivery times simultaneously in a rigorous control environment.
  • Organizational capacity, flexibility, autonomy, and proactivity.
  • Excellent verifiable management of Excel and Power Point (exclusive). Proven data management skills such as VBA, Python, SQL, Power Bi or Tableau; as well as knowledge in SharePoint will be valued.
  • Familiarity with global systems such as Optima, IFRS 9, Facility Approvals, especially in ​​ICG credit risk will be valued (but not exclusive).
  • Thorough knowledge of financial and risk reporting as well as experience from the business and/or technical area desired.
  • Project management knowledge and experience working with diverse group of stakeholders to achieve milestones and deadlines.
  • Good knowledge of Citi products, risk processes and controls with good understanding of regulatory requirements and risk management framework.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience. Graduates from Economic Sciences, Actuary, Industrial Engineering, Administration, Accounting, Finance or similar with a strong quantitative component (exclusive), postgraduate or master's studies will be valued (but not exclusive).
