Citi is seeking a strong data-minded product developer to both create and execute against a data agenda that will accelerate business outcomes for our Cash Equities business.

As Citi pivots to sustained growth across all its business lines, there is a recognition that a key enabler is the ability to better harness data, analytics, and insights, both within individual business units, but also across business lines to create incremental internal and external value.

Team/Role Overview:

This role provides the opportunity to join a Cash Equities product development team focused on delivering high quality, resilient and controlled data, aligned with enterprise-wide and business data governance standards.

What you’ll do:

  • Partner with Cash Equities Analytics team and Technology to develop and implement a comprehensive data governance strategy that aligns with Cash Equities business and regulatory requirements.

  • Define & execute on data and control solutions including data cataloguing, data quality improvement metrics,  lineage & controls.

  • Ensure that all target state tools, processes and controls are socialized effectively and are approved at or by the appropriate governance forum or level.

  • Manage internal and external dependencies across initiatives, including working closely with Finance and Risk Partners, Product Owners, Front Office and Technology teams.

  • Identify challenges and proactively seek to resolve or escalate risk and issues in a timely manner to the relevant stakeholders.

  • Produce accurate and insightful project update materials and artifacts, tailoring to various forums and committees.

What we’ll need from you

  • This role is heavily data driven, so the successful applicant would need to have a deep understanding and experience around data usage, the modelling of data and how its successful application can be used to drive strategy.

  • A deep knowledge of Cash Equities Front and Middle Office processes, technology platforms and data standards.

  • A proven track record in strategic product development, where delivering solutions in a complex environment is essential.

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills; must be articulate and persuasive with the judgement and authority to provide insightful commentary to senior stakeholders.

  • A solid understanding of mechanisms to track and communicate performance.

  • Ability to drive change to business practices by working effectively across a global organization and understand different perspectives and applying thought leadership from target state design through engaging stakeholders at various levels of the organization.

  • Demonstrated analytical skills with follow-up and problem-solving capability.

  • Experience in Cash Equities related regulatory related projects and analysing large datasets using Q / SQL / Python would be advantageous.
