Citi seeks a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Single Stock Exotic Equity Trader. We are looking for a trader with a proven track record of success in managing a trading book, deep understanding of equity derivatives, particularly in structured products and exotics, and a strong grasp of market dynamics. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of analytical skills, market intuition, and client relationship management abilities, and will contribute to growing market share and revenue within the single-stock exotic equity space. As a Single Stock Exotic Equity Trader, you will play a pivotal role in pricing, structuring, and trading a diverse range of single stock exotic equity products, including autocallables, barrier options, and other non-vanilla instruments. You will work within a collaborative environment, where you will be managing your own book and P&L generating strong revenues through client focus, risk management, and inventory optimization. You will be a key point of contact for guiding technology and quantitative analytics teams in developing and implementing systems that streamline processes and incorporate the latest market innovations. You will also focus on risk recycling initiatives and actively participate in upgrading the equity derivatives infrastructure.

What you will do:

  • Manage a portfolio of single stock derivatives across specific sectors in European developed markets, providing liquidity and facilitating business for institutional clients.

  • Provide daily P&L reporting, ensuring accurate risk capture and clear articulation.

  • Collaborate with Technology and Quantitative Analytics to enhance trading systems, adapt to new technologies, and streamline processes.

  • Partner with Sales and Structuring to expand the franchise, anticipating and meeting client, identifying business opportunities, and bringing structured solutions to the market.

  • Utilize and develop trading dashboards to improve risk management, identify revenue opportunities, and optimize inventory.

  • Collaborate with control functions (Legal, Compliance, Risk, Audit, Finance) to ensure robust governance and control infrastructure.

What we will need from you:

  • Proven track record in trading book management with a history of successful revenue generation as part of a trading desk.

  • Expertise in pricing equity exotic options.

  • Experience collaborating with Sales, Research, and other teams to enhance market liquidity and grow the Citi franchise through the monetization of client flows.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, fostering strong internal and external stakeholder relationships.

  • Knowledge of VBA and Python will be considered a plus.
