The Olympus Wholesale Lending Credit Risk team is building a next generation Data Fabric solution to solve the evolving Business, Analytical and Regulatory needs of Citi’s Lending portfolio.  The Data Fabric solution will bring together disparate wholesale lending data sources as required by Institutional Credit Management (ICM) organization and enable industry-leading analytics, client reporting, regulatory, surveillance, supervisory reporting(s) and data science solutions. 

We are looking for a IT Project Group Manager who will join this team and be accountable for management of complex/critical/large professional disciplinary areas as well as lead and direct a team of professionals. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of Financial Services experience as well as background in dealing with wholesale lending data across various line of business. Experience in implementing data solutions and knowledge of big data platform will be a significant advantage. The candidate will work closely with the product owner, Business & Data Analysts, various technology teams, and core developers. Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills are essential to be successful in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all technology components of the development and implementation of major/multiple/highly complex projects; may manage enterprise-wide projects.

  • Develops detailed IT work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans and status reports.

  • Provides IT strategic direction for projects managed.

  • Sets guidelines for appropriate staffing requirements to meet operational needs.

  • Impacts the IT project leadership function by strategic influence and by exercising control over resources, budget management and planning, accountable for end results.

  • Evaluates subordinates' performance and makes decisions on pay increases, hiring, terminations and other personnel actions.

  • Applies in-depth knowledge of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues that have impact beyond own area.

  • Ensures essential procedures are followed and contributes to defining standards.

  • Demonstrates an in-depth understanding of how IT project leadership integrates within the overall technology function to achieve objectives; requires a good understanding of the industry.

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years’ experience in a related technology role with commensurate people management experience

  • Previous experience with Wholesale lending or capital markets, is required

  • Knowledge of Big Data platform is a huge plus

  • Experience with all phases of Software Development Life Cycle

  • Experience in delivering enterprise-wide technology solutions

  • Subject matter expertise in financial industry - wholesale loans /lending business

  • Experience with enterprise-wide data management programs

  • Knowledge of various financial industry regulatory landscape

  • Excellent documentation, analytical and process-based skills to produce process flow diagrams, business modelling, and functional design.

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and deliver in a fast-paced environment

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint) with extensive experience using Excel for data analysis

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the principles of business analysis


Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Master’s degree
