Analyst, Strategic Equity Solutions

This is an Analyst role in the Strategic Equity Solutions (SES) Business Risk team. The Analyst will have global responsibilities for a book of financing and equity derivatives. He/she will support the Business Risk and Analytics team in upholding stringent data quality standards and in portfolio monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Assist Business Risk and SES Analytics teams in maintaining data accuracy at source of data. Experience with Citi data systems and ability to help automate tasks a plus  
• Collaborate closely with US-based operations teams to ensure prompt data edits, recognizing the critical downstream impact on capital and regulatory reporting. Attention to detail is key for this position
• Drive periodic portfolio reviews for the regional portfolios, which includes coordinating between structuring teams and Risk, assessing transaction metrics and collateral issuer metrics, helping to identify risks & mitigants, reviewing risk ratings and classification
• Support portfolio monitoring and reporting to internal and external stakeholders and act as a point of coordination with structuring teams on audit deliverables. It provides an opportunity for the analyst to work closely with the Trading, Structuring, Credit and Market Risk teams
• Build knowledge of equity financing products and structured equity derivatives, with an opportunity to develop credit and transaction underwriting skills
• Assist in special projects and business initiatives including portfolio reviews, policies and guidelines, regulatory requests, audit reviews, etc.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in corporate finance, data analysis and reporting is a plus
• Strong organizational and data management skills, attention to detail and ability to coordinate deliverables across a variety of groups
• Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint are critical for the role. Strong interest in automating and increasing efficiencies is desirable
• Independent problem solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to present recommendations in a succinct manner
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
