Director, Portfolio Management – Citi Wealth Studio - C15 - NEW YORK

We are seeking a dynamic and technically skilled Director to lead the Portfolio Management domain within Citi Wealth Studio.

This individual will own the end-to-end development and global deployment of a comprehensive portfolio construction and trading toolkit that enables advisors and home office teams to deliver personalized, tax-aware, and scalable investment solutions.

This role encompasses responsibility for model portfolio governance, construction logic, and active management capabilities. The Director will develop and refine investment screeners, portfolio analytics, and automated rebalancing features, while ensuring tight integration with planning tools, proposal engines, and compliance workflows.

This includes building logic to support drift thresholds, reallocation triggers, and custom constraints. A critical function of this role is the buildout of comprehensive tax management capabilities—including tax loss harvesting, tax transition, and tax-efficient withdrawal strategies.

The Director will partner with CIO teams and tax policy experts to codify tax intelligence into automated workflows that can be embedded into the advisor toolkit and leveraged at scale.

This leader will oversee the rationalization and modernization of order management systems (OMS) across regions and wealth segments. They will be responsible for harmonizing legacy trading workflows into a unified, forward-compatible infrastructure that connects portfolio construction seamlessly to trade execution. This includes driving global platform alignment and enabling straight-through processing for centralized and decentralized trade models.

The Director will also lead vendor selection, evaluation, and integration of third-party technologies that enhance the platform's core capabilities. This includes managing the interface between internal engineering teams and external partners to ensure adherence to Citi’s architecture standards, data models, and information security protocols.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in investment technology, wealth management platforms, and enterprise system integration. Success will be measured by reduction in trading friction, improvements in advisor adoption and efficiency, and growth in programmatic asset flows.
