Equity Capital Markets (ECM) - Roadshow Coordinator Associate
The Equity Capital Markets (ECM) Group is focused on raising capital for corporates and financial sponsors through IPOs, Follow-ons, Convertibles, and Private Placements, in coordination with the Investment Banking team. In addition to capital raising, ECM is involved in the advising / structuring on non-capital raising strategic assignments, such as spin-offs and split-offs.
The Roadshow Coordinator is an intermediate level position responsible for managing the logistics of roadshows in conjunction with these capital raises. This includes engaging with the corporate client, Investment Banking, Equity Sales, and Citi’s Global Event Marketing team. The Roadshow Coordinator would manage the booking of the institutional meetings and ensure all travel and hotels are confirmed. The Roadshow Coordinator is also responsible for managing final deal invoices, deal files and other execution related roles.
There will be an opportunity to build out the role and engage in other aspects of execution, including internal deal set up, order book management, and FINRA / intra-bank communications (through wires and emails).
The overall objective of this role is to seamlessly provide white glove service to our corporate clients during the execution of a live deal.
Responsibilities:
- Work with senior Equity Capital Markets (ECM) officers and professionals and participate in particular client transactions projects or assignments.
- Work directly with internal partners (Corporate & Investment banking, Equities, Operations) as well as external partners (Clients, Investors) in the coordination and execution of a deal from launch to close.
- Desire and ability to thrive in fast paced, trading floor environment with short deadlines and real-time market interaction.
- Conduct logistics execution focused on travel and coordination.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 3-8 years of relevant experience
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a rapidly changing environment in order to meet deadlines
Education:
- Bachelor's degree/University degree
