Fin Solutions Senior Lead Analyst - SVP/C14
The Fin Solutions Group Manager is a seasoned professional who will support firmwide risk reporting efforts mostly focused on the measurement and management of interest rate risk in the Banking Book (IRRBB). The Lead Analyst will serve as the technical and operational authority on Citi’s proprietary cash-flow forecasting platform, RUBY. The lead analyst will engage our business and risk reporting partners on all aspects of the monthly rate risk production process and will continuously drive the current process towards stronger controls, more efficient operations, and other streamlining. The role requires strong subject matter familiarity with Interest Rate risk, the ability to deal with demanding stakeholders, and most importantly the drive to continuously improve process and controls. The Manager will be expected to work with technology partners to drive the reduction of manual operational processes, find efficiencies and scope for automation, as well as establish rigorous controls where needed. Subject matter knowledge should include discounted cashflow analysis, EVE, EVS, IRE, market interest rate indexes and shocking methodologies thereof as well as a general comfort working with technology partners and data analysis. Leading junior members and structuring our overseas operations, based in Manila, will also be a key aspect to a successful tenure.
Additional subject matter familiarity with general financial planning and risk concepts is also desired in the following fields: transfer pricing, balance sheet management, intercompany transactions, and overall financial planning processes. Much of this work will require a high level of comfort with data analysis in SQL. The candidate should have highly developed communication and diplomacy skills to guide, influence, and convince subject matter experts and risk managers towards new ways of executing monthly and quarterly deliverables. Further, the candidate should expect to be highly organized and set the agenda for the wider team that requires direction and leadership to deliver on multiple outputs. The lead analyst will have to work to recruit, retain, and develop junior staff that may not have the same level of technical, operational, or platform insight. The analyst will provide advice and counsel related to the technology and operations of the business as part of ongoing development priorities and as Citi continues to develop its forecasting architecture.
Responsibilities:
Owns the monthly and quarterly Interest Rate Risk production cycle end-to-end; leads an international team located in Tampa, Irving, Manila, and New York with clients located around the globe
Works to coordinate activities across workstreams on the RUBY platform including Interest Rate Risk, Stress Testing, and Financial Planning
Provides SMEs with a trusted partner to set the overall agenda for the platform beyond BAU operational responsibilities
Comfortably uses data analysis and critical thinking skills to investigate problems, propose root causes, and work with technology partners to implement a solution under tight deadlines
Works closely with technology partners to scope, resource, and develop new platform functionalities and refine existing calculation methodologies
Works with the wider team to creates and maintain process documentation and procedures for purposes of user training and auditability
Becomes the trusted resource for Treasury and Risk partners to liaise with on critical IRRBB regulatory deliverables
Delivers multiple, high priority deliverables and work closely with a variety of highly time sensitive consumers
Develops, hires, trains, and motivate junior staff
Qualifications:
10+ years of relevant experience, within the financial services industry highly preferred
Requires a comprehensive knowledge of multiple areas within a function and how they interact in order to achieve the goals of the function.
Requires communication and diplomacy skills in order to guide and influence others.
Experience and demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a complex and dynamic environment
Self-motivated with the ability to make decisions in the absence of detailed instructions.
Proficient Microsoft Office skills
Track record of operational leadership and change
Strong knowledge of interest risk related concepts such as duration, convexity, IRE, EVE, and discounted cash flow valuation
Strong knowledge of market interest rate indexes and impact to banking balance sheet
Highly proficient in SQL
Developed understanding of balance sheet management and financial planning essentials: intercompany transactions, transfer pricing, equity credits, financial forecasting
Basic familiarity with econometric modeling

$176,720.00 - $265,080.00
