Financial Planning and Analysis Lead Analyst

Citibank N.A. seeks a Financial Planning and Analysis Lead Analyst for its New York, NY location.

Duties: Create financial reports, summarize financial trends, and provide insight to senior management. Advise on directional strategy and provide guidance on significant business/product decisions. Perform analysis of annual 3-year Strategic/Operating Plans, CCAR PPNR forecasts, and monthly outlooks in partnership with segment, business, and country FP&A teams. Prepare analytics in support of CFO reviews including business initiatives. Perform analysis and deliver presentations across multiple asset classes within Markets. Work with Product Control and applicable business stakeholders to understand financials (e.g., actuals, forecasts) driven by business intent/strategies and macroeconomic environment. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, and six (6) years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation performing financial analysis within the financial industry. Six (6) years of experience must include: Performing financial analysis of actuals data to assess the reasonability of model driven forecast; Collaborating with finance partners to execute strategic decisions and targets to deliver on regulatory commitments; Interpreting business performance against targets and understanding business dynamics in the context of macroeconomic and market factors; Reporting and accessing business performance data related to Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss statement using financial reporting and data management systems;  and Generating analytics related to business performance including variance analysis for quarterly firmwide commitments including narratives to senior management. 40 hrs./wk.
