Global Head of Cyber Fusion
Job Summary:
Citigroup seeks a highly experienced, pro-active, innovative Cyber Fusion leader to drive the evolution of our cyber fusion model, protecting the firm, its customers, and partners from sophisticated global cyber threats. This role demands a proven leader with a track record of cyber security leadership, operational excellence, customer focus, and experience in large-scale cyber and digital transformations.
Key Responsibilities:
Cyber Fusion Operations: Oversee and optimize key Cyber Fusion operational capabilities including:
- Cyber Incident Response and Crisis Management
- Third party incident response and management
- Critical Vulnerability response
- Cyber Exercises Program
- Cyber Threat Intelligence
- Cyber Data Analytics
- Cyber Fusion risk mitigation programs
Leadership and Strategy: Pro-actively lead and evolve the Cyber Fusion function, developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy aligned with Citigroup’s business enablement & efficiency objectives and security posture. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.
Transformation and Innovation: Drive large-scale cyber transformations, leveraging industry best practices and emerging technologies to enhance the firmwide security posture. Champion the adoption of innovative solutions to address evolving threats.
Talent Acquisition and Development: Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing team of cybersecurity professionals. Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of learning and growth.
Collaboration and Alignment: Collaborate effectively with Cloud Technology Services and business functions to ensure alignment of security strategies and operations with business needs. Communicate effectively with senior management, providing regular updates on cyber events and incidents, threat landscape and Cyber Fusion performance.
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in cybersecurity and financial services leadership, with a proven track record of managing large-scale security operations and driving transformative change.
Deep understanding of the cyber threat landscape, attack vectors, and mitigation strategies.
Expertise in security operations, incident response, threat intelligence, and cyber fusion models.
Experience with leading security technologies, including SIEM, SOAR, EDR, threat intelligence platforms, and ML/AI-driven security solutions.
Strong leadership, communication, mentoring, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, SANS GIAC) are highly desirable.

- Transformation & Innovation: Experience leading large-scale cyber and digital transformations, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Executive Presence & Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including experience delivering impactful briefings to senior leadership and executive audiences on complex cybersecurity incidents and emerging threats. Ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Mentorship & Talent Development: Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach, and develop cybersecurity talent, fostering a culture of learning and growth.
Cyber Fusion Expertise:
- Cyber Fusion Model Implementation: Deep understanding of and experience implementing and evolving cyber fusion models, integrating threat intelligence, security operations, and incident response.
- Incident Response & Crisis Leadership: Extensive experience leading and directing complex incident response and crisis management activities under pressure, demonstrating decisive decision-making and effective communication in high-stakes situations. This includes expertise in third-party incident management and critical vulnerability response. Must be able to remain calm and focused during critical incidents, providing clear guidance and direction to teams.
- Threat Intelligence & Analytics: Strong understanding of cyber threat intelligence principles and practices, including experience with threat intelligence platforms and cyber data analytics.
- Security Operations: Expertise in security operations methodologies, technologies, and best practices, including experience with SIEM, SOAR, EDR, and other leading security tools.
- Insider Threat & Compliance: Knowledge of insider threat programs and global compliance monitoring frameworks.
Technical Acumen & Innovation:
- Emerging Technologies: Familiarity with emerging security technologies, including ML/AI-driven security solutions, and the ability to evaluate and implement innovative solutions.
- Cloud Security: Experience with cloud security best practices and technologies, particularly in collaboration with Cloud Technology Services.
- Digital Transformation: Understanding of digital transformation principles and how they impact cybersecurity strategy and operations.
Collaboration & Partnership:
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including technology teams, business functions, and senior management.
- External Partnerships: Experience building and maintaining relationships with external partners, including industry peers, vendors, and government agencies.
