Head of Third Party Origination and Diligence for Traditionals
Citi Wealth Alternatives and Investment Manager Solutions is currently seeking a Head of Third Party Traditionals business to lead global origination and diligence of mutual funds, UCITS, SMAs, ETFs, and other key third-party investment opportunities. This position will report to the Head of Alternatives and Investment Manager Solutions and collaborate closely with product specialists, sales, and other key functional partners that support the broader Investments Solutions business. This includes working with other key Investment Solutions businesses including the Citi Investment Management, Capital Markets, and Insurance.
Responsibilities:
- Manage team of professionals responsible for the search, selection, and ongoing oversight of world-class third-party managers across Equity, Fixed Income, Cash/Liquidity Solutions, and ETF offerings
- Identify and address opportunities to modify current platform offerings (e.g., Citi Focus List, Due Diligence-Approved funds) across US and non-US offerings and subsequent third-party partners
- Drive weekly/monthly/semi-annual and ad-hoc reporting efforts that ensure senior leadership visibility across the Investment Solutions business performance and key initiatives
- Participate in cross-functional/discipline initiatives that span regulatory, legal, risk, and compliance
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency
Qualifications:
- 15-20 years of experience in investment management, onboarding third-party partners, and driving revenue and AUM growth
- Experience managing high performing team
- Experience in finance and processes administration
- Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, flexible, and innovative approach to operational management
- Passion, humility, integrity, positive attitude, mission oriented, and self-directed
- Excellent influencing, facilitation, and partnering skills with key stakeholders and Senior Management
- Strategic and goal-oriented thinker
- Effective interpersonal skills – including teamwork and organizational skills
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communications, a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent public speaking skills
- Detail oriented, ability to multi-task
Education:
- Bachelor’s/University degree
