The HR Global Head of Quality Assurance will be instrumental in establishing and implementing strong issues management processes including quality assurance within HR globally.

Individuals in Quality Assurance are responsible for the assessment of all issues from self-identified to regulatory/Consent Order related issues. Expected outcomes should drive risk reduction through on time and quality delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a Quality Assurance and oversight structure to drive consistent and clear processes, monitoring, reporting and escalation

  • Implement common standards, procedures and governance processes to create and maintain consistent and best in class QA protocols.

  • Define and implement standards, structure and associated guidance for QA reporting.

  • Review the identified issues, gain agreement on planned actions and provide strategic remediation paths for key issues.

  • Partner across all of Citi, Global Business Risk and Controls, Businesses, 1st, 2nd and 3rd line functions to drive accountability to deliver on remediation activities and subsequent reviews/validation/audits.

  • Serving as a senior HR QA representative on various key Senior Consent Order and Risk and Control Committees

  • Define and implement escalation criteria and practices to ensure issues and risks are escalated timely and reporting to senior management occurs appropriately, consistently and at the right levels.

  • Establish strong monitoring routines across HR globally to ensure consistency and compliance with risk and control requirements.

  • Participate and/or present in regularly scheduled update meetings with the OCC and FRB regulatory exam teams, as well as resolve ad-hoc queries raised by the regulators.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in operational risk management, compliance, audit, or other control-related functions in the financial services industry, 8+ years managerial experience preferred

  • Ability to identify, measure, and manage key risks and controls

  •  Experience managing teams with broad accountability in a complex environment and ability to lead through change

  • Well versed in breaking down complex matters into core issues and root causes that can be more readily addressed.  

  • Proficient in developing new ideas to mitigate risk and improve current processes.  

  • Consistently reads different situations accurately and takes appropriate action to gain senior colleague/ client commitment. 

  • Full management responsibility of a team or multiple teams

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Citi’s businesses and functions and their risk profiles 

  • Requires an ability to provide challenge and make recommendation for risk and controls remediation

  • Proven experience in implementing sustainable solutions and improving processes

  • Expert understanding of compliance laws, rules, regulations, and best practices

  • Deep understanding of Citi’s Policies, Standards, and Procedures

  • Demonstrate exceptional leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent analytical skills to evaluate complex risk and control activities and processes

  • Ability to deliver compelling presentations and influence executive audiences

  • Strong sense of accountability and ownership, with strong results orientation

  • Excellent communication skills: ability to engage and inspire across stakeholder groups

  • Exceptional command in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

  • Strong stakeholder and team management experience

Education

Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$250,000.00 - $500,000.00
