Citibank, N.A. seeks a Model Validation 2nd LOD Sr. Analyst for its Long Island City, New York location.

Duties: Develop statistical models for risk management, asset optimization, pricing, or relative value analysis. Devise or apply independent models or tools to help verify results of analytical systems. Validation of qualitative models. Review suitability of qualitative models against quantitative approach based on modeling objectives and data. Produce high value models validation reports, including highlighting models’ risks and limitations of model. Evaluate testing approaches and results for individual models per business model risk management guidance. Monitor model performance, contribute to regulatory and audit responses, and ensure compliance with internal qualitative models’ policies. Design, develop, and maintain qualitative model validation standards, guidance, practices, and documentation. Develop, enhance, and validate methods of measuring and analyzing risk. Statistical analysis in risk projects and data modeling/validation. Apply SAS programming and SQL quantitative and qualitative data analysis methods to extract and transform data. Use Visual Basic programming language. Prepare statistical and nonstatistical data exploration, validate data, and identify data quality issues. Perform data analysis and data mining. Automate data extraction and data preprocessing, perform ad hoc data analyses, and design and maintain complex data manipulation processes. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent, in Financial Engineering, Financial Actuarial Mathematics, Economics, or related quantitative field and 1 year of experience as a Risk Modeling Analyst, or related position involving data and risk model analysis and validation for a bank. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in the specified fields and 3 years of experience in the above positions. 1 year of experience must include: Modeling risk management; Financial modelling; Model assessment and validation; Applying banking regulations and financial principles including CCAR and CECL; SQL and Access database for validation, data manipulations and monitoring, and model inputs and outputs assessment; Modeling using R statistical software packages; Utilize Excel and R Programming in modeling and data analysis; Using Power BI and Tableau for data visualization and reporting; and Utilize Visual Basic programming language.
