Citibank, N.A. seeks an Underwriter for its New York, New York location.

Duties: Analyze and measure exposure to credit and market risk threatening assets, earning capacity, or economic state of organization. Provide asset portfolio management, deal underwriting and process optimization support for aviation clients. Use domain knowledge of airline operations to conduct credit, risk and collateral analyses to provide strategic advice to risk decision-makers in Transpiration deal underwriting. Perform credit analysis including industry review, credit benchmarking and financial modeling. Articulate findings into balanced views that support business growth. Enhance operating processes and methodologies by facilitating origination and deal execution.  Lead development of new digital initiatives and data integration projects, leveraging advanced data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI to amalgamate diverse data sources into a unified dashboard. Lead deal approval processes representing business views and insight with risk partners. Liaise with origination team and clients to enable approval and execution of amendments and waivers as appropriate. Provide origination team with historical market data and pertinent data-driven analytics to support credit decision and approval processes. Monitor ongoing compliance of assigned deals with internal Wholesale Credit Risk Standards and procedures. Work with Transaction Management, Finance and Treasury teams to monitor exposures and ensure accurate capital usage and reporting. Oversee aviation assets and perform detailed facility reviews to uphold asset performance and compliance. Liaise with external stakeholders to stay abreast of key market developments including capital markets developments. Review relevant market information related to original equipment manufacturers (OEM), aircrafts, maintenance, repair and operations (MRO), appraisers, lessors, lessees, capital providers and regulators. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Finance, Aviation Finance or related field and 2 years of experience as a Financial Analyst, Credit Analyst, Manager of Fleet Strategy and Data Science or related position involving financial and credit analysis for the aviation industry. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in the stated fields and 5 years of the specified progressive, post-baccalaureate experience. 2 years of experience must include: Transportation assets financing; Aviation Credit Exposure Management; Credit Risk Management; Corporate Financial Analysis; Cash Flow Modelling; Data Visualization; Data Management; Data Visualization tools: Power BI and Excel; Transportation asset Portfolio Management; and Transaction Due Diligence.
