Assoc Ops Support Analyst - B10
The Assoc Ops Sup Analyst is an entry level officer position responsible for providing operations support servicing an expansive and/or diverse array of products/services. Has direct impact on the business by ensuring department's daily financial transactions are posted within SLA. Understands how assigned duties contribute to the work of the team/unit and how the units coordinate their efforts and resources to achieve the objectives of the function. Additionally, the Assoc Ops Sup Analyst serves as the liaison between operations staff, relationship managers, project managers, technology and internal/external clients. The overall objective of this role is to provide day-to-day operations support in alignment with Citi operations support infrastructure and processes.
Responsibilities:
- Works with a wide variety of non-routine queues, to support a variety of ACH transactions across Branded Cards, CRS and Retail Bank.
- Oversees execution of controls related to ACH and Debit Card Exceptions.
- Serve as management's point of contact for daily department health and responsible for immediate escalation of any issues that arise.
- Maintains department procedures and manages any required updates within How2
- Regularly mentors and trains lower-level service processors or new team members.
- Works under little to no direct supervision, serving as escalation contact for lower-level processors.
- Identifies problems/process improvements, troubleshoots issues, and participates in testing to ensure that systems are functioning properly and help resolve problems.
- Applies in depth knowledge of technical principles to support basic walkthrough activities with Compliance and Internal Audit.
- Research and interpret standard information and identify inconsistencies in data or results.
- Prepare basic presentations for management.
- Represents department at intra-departmental meetings and on various intra department projects.
- Utilizes communication, diplomacy and interpersonal skills to interact with colleagues and stakeholders, and to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of payment and deposit processes with emphasis of electronic funds transfers (EFT).
- Knowledge of Consumer, Business Banking, Citi Commercial Banking, Cards Products and Services.
- Knowledge of basic NACHA guidelines preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite, including proficiency in Excel and Access.
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated organization skills with an excellent attention to detail.
- Able to identify, mitigate, manage, resolve, and escalate risks and issue.
- Proven problem-solving and analyst skills.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
