Join Citi's European Power and Gas Corporate Sales team, a core pillar of our global commodities franchise. We are looking for an experienced individual to provide risk management solutions to corporate clients exposed to power, gas, and LNG.

Team/Role Overview:

Our European Power and Gas Corporate Sales team plays a vital role in Citi's global commodities business. We work closely with corporate clients to provide tailored risk management solutions and contribute to the growth of our client franchise. This is a dynamic and fast-paced environment where teamwork, collaboration, and an entrepreneurial spirit are highly valued.

What You'll Do:

  • Service existing clients across the power, gas, and LNG sectors, with potential for primary coverage based on performance.
  • Drive client franchise expansion by originating and executing new business with existing and new clients.
  • Collaborate with internal partners in Markets and Banking to strengthen client relationships and deliver expert solutions.
  • Work closely with control functions (Legal, Compliance, Market & Credit Risk, Audit, Finance) to ensure robust governance and control infrastructure.
  • Assess risk/reward effectively when making business decisions, prioritizing the firm's reputation.

What We'll Need From You:

  • Proven experience in a commodities relationship management role, including coverage of upstream or sovereign clients. This is not an entry-level position.
  • Solid understanding of commodities derivatives, physical products, or financing products, with a strong aptitude for learning new areas.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset for business origination and adaptability to evolving market opportunities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong team orientation and a drive for collective success.
  • Demonstrated understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements (global and local).
