Risk Operations Senior Analyst

Credit Risk Management Services (CRMS) serves as a critical component of our First Line of defense for wholesale and counterparty credit risk management and is a first line organization that is part of Institutional Credit Management (ICM). CRMS works through the challenges of the Wholesale Credit Risk Lending processes with the aim of transforming the credit risk process flows including but not limited to credit facility management, legal documentation, collaterals, and risk reporting. The scope of responsibilities and scale of this team will evolve over time to continue to meet our needs. Importantly, ICM (CRMS) will coordinate with credit management groups across corporate businesses to ensure full alignment on business and regulatory goals, as well as consistency and best practices where appropriate.

CRMS covers the following areas:

• Credit Risk Approval Controls

• Credit Risk Reporting

• CRMS Controls and Data Quality

• Credit Documentation Review

The Credit Maintenance Senior Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for capturing and recording data on credit exposures, obligors and facilities in relevant credit systems in coordination with the Operations - Services team. The overall objective of this role is to coordinate and maintain data quality in credit systems, monitor and report credit exposure, escalate deficiencies and recommend solutions in alignment with overall credit policies. This position ensures that delivered signed documents reflect credit decision and are complete and validated as stipulated in the Procedure.

What will you be doing?

• Track credit approvals approval process, following up when necessary and ensure approvals are received in compliance with policy/recorded in database accurately. Reflect approved structures in credit systems.

• Assist businesses by responding to information needs.

• Review month end reports for assigned portfolio segment(s) following data quality process and submit or process adjustments verifying their accuracy

• Apply in-depth knowledge and contribute to the development of new techniques and processes

• Review credit legal documentation to detect any deficiencies before funds disbursement. Communicate with all stakeholders in credit process – mainly with Risk, Business, Legal teams.

• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

What are we looking for?

• 5-8 years of relevant experience

• Fluency in English and Czech/Slovak

• Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on MS Excel

• Bachelor’s/University degree is preferred

• Demonstrated analytical skills

• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

• Ability to prioritize deliverables and work independent of direct supervision.

• Ability to collaborate across multiple business lines and levels of management.
