The Applications Development Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Job Summary: We’re looking for an experienced, and technology proficient, J2EE and Microservice Software Engineering Lead to join/manage our agile software development team. The Software Engineer will be responsible for maintaining our existing Spring MVC/Security J2EE environment, as well as managing the decupling of the existing .war to microservices. This decupling, and microservices production environment, are firmly established.

Key Responsibilities: Technical Leadership & Mentorship

•                Java/J2EE/Microservice developers providing technical guidance, excellence, mentorship and code reviews as a means of best practices.

•                Translate complex business requirements into technical designs via Jira.

•                Drive technical discussions and foster a creative environment.

•                Maintain secure, robust and scalable code.

•                Have a strong understanding of software security, vulnerabilities, OWASP and fraud.

•                Oversee the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC) from requirements, development to deployment.

•                Collaborate effectively with a wide variety of cross-functional teams.

•                Extensive troubleshooting and support is required.

•                Experience with Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc) and containers (Docker, Kubernetes)

Qualifications:

•                2-4 years in Java/J2EE and Microservices development.

•                Extensive experience with Java, J2EE, Servlets, RESTful Endpoints, JDBC, Spring Framework, SQL, JavaScript, TypeScript, ReactJS/Native, HTML

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
