Senior Appian Developer : C12 : TTS Operations and Technology
Job Details
This position is under ICG TTS Operations Technology (OpsTech) Group, to help the implementation of Next generation Digital Automation
Platform and Imaging Workflow Technologies. The Candidate is required to possess relevant experience in working with development teams
in the distributed systems Eco-System and should be a strong team player.
It is expected that the candidate will have superior technical knowledge of current programming languages, technologies and other leading
edge development tools.
The Applications Development Intermediate Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the
establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall
objective of this role is to contribute to applications, systems analysis, and programming activities.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain applications and understanding on inter-relationships with other systems.
- Utilize knowledge of applications development procedures and concepts, and basic knowledge of other technical areas to identify and define necessary system enhancements, including using script tools and analysing/interpreting code.
- Must have excellent knowledge of core Appian concepts, records, interfaces, process models, deployments using pipeline, integrations, Web API's
- Decent knowledge of database concepts, Appian on-premises vs cloud would be a good to have.
- Conduct testing and debugging, utilize script tools, and write basic code for design specifications.
- Creates and produces IT architecture designs to translate user requirements into solutions.
- Consult with users, clients, and other technology groups on issues, and recommend programming solutions, install, and support customer exposure systems.
- Apply fundamental knowledge of programming languages for design specifications.
- Analyze applications to identify vulnerabilities and security issues, as well as conduct testing and debugging.
- Serve as advisor or coach to new or junior analysts.
- Identify problems, analyze information, and make evaluative judgements to recommend and implement solutions.
- Resolve issues by identifying and selecting solutions through the applications of acquired technical experience and guided by precedents.
- Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
- Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
- Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Must Have Skills
- Minimum 10+ years of Hands-on Technology experience
- Experience of working on complex multi-system, distributed, highly scalable enterprise application.
- Should have strong hands-on experience on one of low code technology platform like Appian, Pega, Flowable etc.
- Experience using ALM and CICD tools like Bitbucket, TFS, Jenkins, UDeploy, BMC RLM or related tools in an agile methodology.
- Experience within a banking/finance environment would be preferable.
- Experience in Solution governance and quality assurance
- Experience in working in both waterfall and Agile methodologies.
Qualifications:
- 10-12 years of relevant experience in Implementing IT solutions
- Intermediate level experience in Applications Development role
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.
- Experience in Scrum/Agile methodologies with application development projects
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements.
