Senior Backend Developer (Python)- C12

The Applications Development Manager is an intermediate Technical lead position responsible for providing technical leadership and direction to the development scrum team. The overall objective of this role is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Responsibilities:

• Provide Technical SME to design and document technical solutions for complex product features
• Assist junior developers to De-compose and refine requirements to make smaller actional development tasks. Assist scrum masters to allocate the work to the team
• Develop and commit code for complex solutions. Review and approve code committed by the team
• Ensure Definition of Done (DOD) is agreed and met for each sprint. Encourage the team to complete their tasks and reduce any bottlenecks on PR reviews/ timely completion of tasks
• Partner with QA and Architect to look at improvement areas and implement changes in the Agile process.
• Resolve issues using in-depth knowledge of concepts and procedures within applications development
• improve velocity and quality (bugs) of the development for the scrum team. Use retro productively to find area and processes which need improvement.
• work with team manager/ sr management to assess team performance and provide improvement suggestions

Qualifications:

• 8-10 years of experience in programing, solution design is MUST
• 4+ years hands on python programming experience is MUST
• Knowledge of database (Mongo DB), DevOps tools, ECS is MUST
• Experience in leading/ guiding development scrum team
• knowledge and experience of Agile practices is desirable
• Demonstrated leadership and management skills
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
