Sr. Tech Lead - Open Source Technologies -C14 - PUNE
The Applications Development Group Manager is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team along with a large component (>50%) of individual hands on contribution in an effort to establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology Team. The overall objective of this role is to drive applications systems analysis and programming activities.
We are seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented SVP of Technology to contribute to our technology organization. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building and supporting high-performing global technology solutions, driving innovation, and delivering industry-defining products. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership, communication, and technical skills, capable of setting product vision and strategy, coding large-scale projects, and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize in-depth knowledge of concepts and procedures within own area and knowledge of other areas to develop and deliver solutions
- * **Leadership & Strategy:**
* Help set the overall technology vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with business objectives.
* Lead and inspire a global technology organization, fostering a culture of innovation and engineering excellence.
* Champion technology exploration, generate and sell ideas to executive leadership.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization.
* **Product Development & Delivery:**
* Oversee the full product development lifecycle, from ideation to development and ongoing maintenance.
* Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of products and services within budget and resource constraints.
* Implement and manage effective product development methodologies (e.g., Agile, SAFe).
* Drive the adoption of modern technologies and best practices (e.g., DevSecOps, Cloud).
* **Team Management & Development:**
* Mentor high-performing engineering teams.
* * Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
* **Innovation & Growth:**
* Identify and evaluate new technologies and trends to drive innovation and growth.
* Lead the development and implementation of new products and features.
* Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes and practices.
* **Collaboration & Communication:**
* Effectively communicate technical concepts and strategies to both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (e.g., product, marketing, sales).
Qualifications:
- 17+ years of experience in technology leadership roles, with a proven track record of success.
* Experience leading and working with global technology teams.
*Deep understanding of software development methodologies and best practices.
*Deep understanding of software architecture principles and best practices.
* Solid hands-on experience working on Open source technologies including Java/Springboot, Kafka, Openshift/Docker/Kubernates
* Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Experience building and scaling SaaS platforms.
* Experience in a large financial conglomerate
* Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred. Executive education from top-tier institutions a plus.
