Investment Counselor Lead
Citibank, N.A. seeks an Investment Counselor Lead for its San Francisco, CA location.
Duties: Conduct in-depth quantitative and qualitative analysis to solve problems and develop new, innovative solutions. Provide advice and guidance on markets and actionable investment ideas. Cultivate trusting relationships with new and existing ultra-high net worth clients of Citi Private Bank. Build a successful practice centered on deepening relationships by providing potential and existing clients with appropriate investment advice and solutions. Combine in depth knowledge of traditional and alternative investments with wealth planning and private banking services to optimize client service and cross-marketing opportunities. Work across currencies, asset classes, markets, and jurisdictions. Engage and advise clients on brokerage activity and execute trades. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field, and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related finance occupation performing asset and investment risk management activities. Five (5) years of experience must include: Evaluating current macroeconomic variables to assess impact on investor portfolios; Evaluating operations, business plans, and financial and economic forecasts to produce strategic and financial analyses relating to the execution of investment strategy and asset allocation; Preparing quantitative analysis using Monte Carlo simulation to incorporate content sourced from various financial data platforms including Bloomberg, FactSet, iCapital, and Morningstar to formulate investment options for clients; Analyzing and interpreting financial data to devise risk management solutions for multi-asset class portfolios; Providing client advisory services around the potential sale of assets (i.e., concentrated stock positions) and providing expert advice on derivatives and other bespoke financial instruments; and Building detailed models using Excel to provide stakeholders with complex statistical analyses including modelling for illiquid assets for the purpose of hedging, diversifying, and disposing of positions.
