AVP - Applications Development Programmer Analyst (Mainframe) - Hybrid

Role Description:
We are actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Application Development Lead to join our Commercial Card's development team. This pivotal role involves close collaboration with development, testing, and production support teams, as well as critical departments within Citigroup, including System Administrators, Database Administrators, Data Center Operations, and Change Control groups, specifically for the Commercial Cards system.
The successful candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, bridging both technical and business stakeholders, and will operate with a high degree of visibility within the organization. As a rigorous technical lead, you will demonstrate a profound understanding of how to architect and build scalable, enterprise-level global applications. Your primary responsibility will be the development and ongoing maintenance of the Commercial Cards Authorization application, a key component within the overarching VisionPlus platform.
We are looking for a dependable and resourceful software professional who thrives in a large, globally distributed, and dynamic work environment. You will be instrumental in fostering diversity, teamwork, and collaboration, and must be adept at working effectively under pressure.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 10+ years of relevant experience in the Credit Cards domain, with expertise in Network compliance, Wallets, Virtual Cards, Tokens, and associated key management.
- Prior Roles: Proven experience as an Applications Development Manager or Solutions Analyst, specifically within the Cards domain.
- Domain Expertise: Strong technical knowledge of the Credit Cards ecosystem and processing, with an in-depth understanding of Authorization processing being a significant advantage.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong mainframe technical skills including COBOL, JCL, CICS, MVS, DB2, ZOS Connect, ICSF, and various debugging tools.
- Project and Soft Skills: Effective project management, strong interpersonal skills, and excellent communication abilities.
- Methodologies: Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with SDLC and Agile methodologies.
- Global Collaboration: Ability to work flexibly across different time zones to support stakeholders in the ASPAC, EMEA, and LATAM regions.
