The Capital Markets Credit Solutions Sr Lead is a Senior Level role responsible for coordinating the fill suite of credit solutions for the CGWI Capital Markets business. The overall objective of the group is to provide Private Bank clients with institutional level access to Citi’s full Markets capabilities.  Clients gain access to a wide range of products, institutional level pricing, expertise, and trading capabilities. This role is based within the Citi Global Wealth Investments (“CGWI”) Capital Markets Group, located in in APAC. The role reports to the CGWI APAC Head of Markets Credit Solutions. The role is required to work closely with the CGWI & Markets Risk teams and CGW Investment Finance to deliver comprehensive credit solutions suitable for our Capital Markets clients’ investment portfolios and strategic solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the end to end process for all Credit/Pre Settlement Exposure (PSE)/Margin products related to Capital Markets trading activity across bank delivered products and brokerage products.
  • Partner with the Product Specialists, Bankers and Investment Counselors to analyze balance sheets, properly size PSE lines to support trading activity and manage the approval process in Investment Finance and Risk
  • Working with Investment Finance and Risk to maintain all Product Programs related to extending credit to facilitate Capital Markets trading activity including PSE lines, Loanable Value to ensure consistency across the platform and with other regions.
  • Work with CGWI’s largest Family Office clients that are active across asset classes and products to assess credit needs on an ongoing basis and facilitate onboarding processes including the ISDA negotiation and documentation requirements.
  • Develop relationships and help shepherd approval processes where necessary with Risk and Credit functions across ICG, notably FICC when CGWI clients transact with Markets & Securities Services (MSS).
  • Champion and develop new Credit Methodologies for Capital Markets at CGWI.
  • Ensure regional and global consistency of Credit extension for all Capital Market Trading Activities to global standards
  • Streamline and increase efficiencies in the Capital Markets PSE extension process
  • Create efficiencies and scalability across the Risk reporting systems for those clients that straddle CGWI and ICG risk management infrastructure.
  • Work with global partners to ensure global consistency to product delivery achieved
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • CO or SCO Required (or equivalent approval authorities at other financial institutions; relevant experience history)
  • Extensive experience in Capital Markets Risk, Credit or similar role
  • Knowledge of risk drivers for Capital Markets Products across Equities, Fixed Income, Foreign Exchange, Commodities, Credit, Structured Notes and OTC Derivatives
  • Comfort with Market Risk and Credit Risk parameters. Superior problem solving and analytical skills with an ability to influence decision making incorporating quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. This role crosses lines of business between Capital Markets and Investment Finance, therefore it is critical to build strong partnerships.
  • Results Driven and Experience implementing a business strategy at a regional / global level.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills with familiarity of working with large amounts of data
  • Energetic and motivated personality, with the willingness to take the initiative where appropriate
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines successfully
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and successfully manage several projects at a time

Education:

  • Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred
