SVP - Exchange Connectivity Lead (Low Latency Trading) (Hybrid)
Citi Equities Technology organization is looking for a senior, experienced technology lead to join the APAC Equities Electronic Trading team to help take our platforms to the next level. The successful candidate will be responsible for the leading the design, development and successful delivery of Citi’s next gen low latency exchange connectivity and DMA platforms in the APAC region.
This experienced, senior engineer will lead a regional team of developers, focused on the APAC region primarily, but operating within and contributing to a wider global team. They will ensure close collaboration with the product and other development teams, production support, and quality assurance to ensure deliveries of the highest quality for the business. The ability to align closely with the global strategy is very important for this role.
Responsibilities:
Ownership of the design, development and support of the low latency trade execution platform
Partner with traders and clients on product development and improving application resiliency and latency
Continuous maintenance & improvements of the testing frameworks, development tools and environments.
Drive a shift-left strategy of the teams SDLC process
Contribute towards Agile and Continuous Integration processes
People management and mentoring for a regionally distributed team
Ownership over the planning, management and reporting of the regional book of work
Qualifications:
14+ years of experience in IT with minimum 10 years’ relevant experience in the Financial Service Industry with strong technical knowledge and expertise in core java
Experience with FIX and binary protocols for exchange connectivity is desired
Experience in using low latency software design and mechanical sympathy techniques to yield low latency, high throughput trading platforms.
Previous experience in developing automated trading platforms.
Experienced with microservices based architectures.
Strong understanding of automated testing techniques.
Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and Continuous Integration processes.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, set goals and meet deadlines.
Strong communication skills with a demonstrable ability to present & grasp complex concepts in a multicultural environment.
Experience in managing distributed teams of 5-10 people
Education:
Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
