The Product Control Intermediate Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for ensuring the completeness, accuracy and integrity of the bank's books and records in coordination with the Product Accounting team.  The position includes daily responsibilities overseeing product processor governance primarily focused on Markets Treasury and Summit.  The support role includes financial reporting, regulatory reporting and reconciliation oversight and governance. The role also includes supporting management in annual external audits and ensuring integrity of the books and records while working closely with key stakeholders across the organization on corporate initiatives and strategic implementations.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the analysis and submission of reports to various constituencies (local regulators, SEC, Auditors, etc.) based on requirements such as US GAAP, US Regulatory, and local statutory reporting
  • Assist with closing the books and sub-ledgers, including passing appropriate required adjustment entries at the end of each accounting period
  • Document and establish business requirement documents, review test scripts, and interact with business partners to ensure successful migrations of key technology releases
  • Identify and resolve problems using basic Finance knowledge, escalating as needed
  • Assist with ensuring processes and procedures are being completed timely and accurately, escalating as needed
  • Assist in leading a team and training staff to perform processes and procedures within defined parameters
  • Assist in the automation of manual process and entries
  • Assist with process change and redesign
  • Applies understanding of how the team and area integrate with others in accomplishing objectives
  • Assesses previous or similar experiences and evaluate options under certain circumstances not covered by procedures
  • Communicate with internal partners on the status of the reconciliations/ accounting performed
  • Assist in the management of one or more processes, reports, procedures, or products
  • Acts as SME to other team members
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of previous experience required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work under pressure or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
  • Self-motivated and detail oriented
  • Ability to manage workstreams in parallel and multitask
  • Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work with partners from different areas of organization
  • Working knowledge of related industry practices and standards
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills


Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$58,700.00 - $81,900.00
