About the Team: Data Solutions Production Management
Our Production Management team provides critical business and technical support to the Data Solutions applications, working collaboratively to ensure that our platforms and services operate for our clients, whenever they need them. We act as highly skilled and valued partners to our businesses.

Role and Position Overview
Working as an Apps Support Sr. Analyst, you will play an integral role in running and maintaining the production environment for Citi's Reference Data Applications within the Data Solutions organization, so that multiple businesses and functions across the firm can confidently service their clients. You will be a member of a highly efficient team which is focused on building a robust Production Support platform through utilizing the latest technologies and SRE disciplines. The Data Solutions organization aims to be the best for our clients by creating a Service-Centric organization focused on digitizing products and services, driving out manual work and delivering world-class Client experience, enabling growth via scalability. You will be working closely with colleagues globally to provide 24/7 support for our franchise critical applications. In addition, you will also partner with various Support, Application Development, and Infrastructure teams as well as Business and Operations users.
Functional Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical and business support for users of Citi, providing quick resolutions to application issues, driving stability, efficiency, and risk management improvements to help the department and overall business succeed.
- Assess risk and impact of production issues, escalating to the business and technology management in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Perform controlled resolution of incidents and problems including prioritization, escalation to relevant groups when appropriate, communication to key stakeholders, driving post-mortems and root cause analysis of all problems with follow-through to resolution.
- Plan and support system changes, including application releases, pre/post-release checkouts, infrastructure maintenances, patching and continuity of business tests.
- Maintain and optimize the Production monitoring estate, implementing new features and adjusting existing monitoring to better suit the business needs.
- Partner with development team to drive improvements to applications resiliency and recoverability.
- Implement automation solutions focused on risk and toil reduction.
Functional Knowledge and Technical Experience
- 5-8 years of Production Support experience is essential
- Solid Unix/Linux and Shell scripting skills
- Good understanding of enterprise distributed applications topology (networks, load balancers, AD/LDAP, NAS, backup)
- Good Experience with Monitoring tools such as ITRS Geneos, AppDynamics
- Good Experience with Log Aggregation tools such as ELK, Splunk
- Experience with Oracle and MongoDB databases
- Experience with containerization platforms such as Red Hat Openshift, Kubernetes or Google Cloud
- Rest API Knowledge
- Experience with Middleware solutions such as Tibco EMS, MQ, Kafka
- Experience with Java, Python or other programming languages is desirable. Willingness to learn new technologies
- Good written and verbal communication skills

* Bachelor’s/University Degree or equivalent experience will be considered.
